Ratings & Reviews for Architectural Mailboxes Centennial Metal Extra Large Mailbox Gray

Decent quality and very good capacity.

The size of the mailbox is great. Love the capacity. The construction is decent although I was hoping for a heavier gauge of material. Feels like it will be damaged by hail here in Kansas. Might need to build a cover for it. The length of mailbox is shorter than a standard box but it's like 3 mailboxes wide. So there will be work to remount it. There are 8 pre-drilled holes on the floor but they don't match up to a standard mailbox pattern.

Door broke off within 1 year

The door broke off within the first 8-10 months. I went to the hardware store and got new nut, bolt, lock washer...and the door broke off again. I have a new house to take care of. The last project I want to be thinking about is repairing my mailbox. For $90, this thing needs to last at least a few years. Come on.

Attractive, sturdy and well built. Strong door.

This is perfect for new demands on parcel delivery. We have so many packages delivered these days, we need the space to accommodate the deliveries. Spacious for all sizes . Times have changes on delivery and this box can handle the needs.

Gray Metal Extra Large Mailbox

It's a nice big mailbox. But after about a year of use, the door pins came loose and fell out, along with the door. I'm having to order 2 replacement door pin assemblies, at a cost of $9, including shipping. Not sturdy enough!

Large and roomy

Parts Rust

This is a great mailbox except that someone should have told Lowes that it will be used outdoors, which means making the cotter pines out of material that won't rust. Both pivot pins fell out due to the retention cotter pins rusting.

Great for mail and large packages

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is twice the size of a regular mailbox. Great for packages and mail to be placed in and secured. Very easy assembly and looks great too.

Great quality!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mail box is made well. It is both sturdy and robust. So far this mailbox seems weatherproof. I live in California where we do not get any snow. It has withstood heavy winds and rains along with hot sunny days. I love the style. It is simple and classic.
