Solid Backup

My current UPS battery needed replaced, when checking online there was a sale, so I replaced the old APC UPS unit with this newer one.

Multiple Application User

Have (5) units that cover not only computer application but aquarium pumps, satellite receivers and security camers. All work as designed and usually meet or exceed the warranty timeline as far as battery replacement. The exchange program will address\ to assure the latest product upgrades when this occurs.

great product

This was our 5 Back - UPS purchased from APC. As we add servers and computers, our needs have grown. The APC units work well and we like the ability to replace the batteries rather than the entire unit. We also appreciate the recycling program.

Works great, kill the re-charge alarm

Functionally perfect. Gets me through the power loses that seem to have become more frequent. Wish I could get rid of the annoying alarm that sounds once power is back on & I turn my computer back on before the unit is fully recharged.

No Surprise

VERY Good

I have been using APC back-ups 550 for years. I now have 3 used to back up 3 different computers. I have never had a problem with any of them except after 5 years I had to replace a battery in 1 of them (the oldest). Been through many black outs and they never failed me.

Continuing Customer

I have used APC battery backup and surge suppressor units for many years, and found them to be entirely satisfactory. I recycle old units with APC even though it is more expensive than buying a new APC unit at retail. (I often find units on sale locally for about 2/3rd the price at APC but then face the issue of how to recycle the old unit.) Glad I did

As you may know, Florida has recently been hit with tropical storm Debby. Fearing damage for my computer and security equitment I purchased this battery backup. Throughout the storm the battery backup kicked in several times from sags, and short interuptions. I still made off well, not having a flood or a long power outage!

550 Back-UPS

I thing is as good as the two 500U's that I replaced with the 550's. All of the various Back-UPS's that I have I only have trouble withn the batteries going bad. They do the job that they are made for and that is all that I can ask for.

Very happy

I was pleased with the customer service, the price, the return of the old battery... saved me a lot of money and seems to be doing it's job so far.

Good Size & Shape

I have four APC units of various sizes; this is the perfect size to remain out of sight and still provide the protection needed.

Good UPS but not perfect

This is a very good value for the cost. The only thing I would change is make the outlet holes not be so tight. It takes a good amount of force to plug or unplug devices into it.

nice product - designer needs clue

So far I like the ups I just today bought. easy setup (just plug it in), software installation was easy too. My critique is that the cord from the ups to the wall outlet is right beside the warning indicator light. well if you have the side with the cord facing the wall you can't see the light. Turn it to the side with the light facing you (I am facing the ups with the cord coming out to my left) you can't see the light because of the cord. Essential equipment

For peace of mind, this is great. Recent power outages remind us of how important power surge protection and backup are. Only drawback is the narrow spacing between outlets. Can't use all outlets if cords have adapter plugs; not enough space.

Excellent as usual

Purchased as replacement for unit > 3 years old. As usual, I am extremely happy with APC. All the units I have ever purchased for home and business have worked perfectly - in contrast to a Tripp-Lite that never provided backup power.

Just a nice product...As an MCSE for 11 Years I have utilized APC UPS devices for my 9 node network with great results... Where's the wall mount?

Looked at your web site documentation before ordering this model quantity (6) specifically with wall mount slots. Now this has changed again. Do you have free wall mount brackets? Our corporation has standardized on APC for UPS units and a large quantity of models from the BE through the Smart-UPS.

Great Workstation UPS

The UPS is perfect for workstations and other assorted equipment that require the ability to "ride through" a brief power outage. I use the exchange program and find the pricing along with the ability to easily recycle and receive credit for the older units to be an excellent solution for all consumers, both personal and business. I highly recommend these UPS units over any of the other brands.
