Most reviews highlight the product's great value, and many found the instructions easy to follow, allowing for quick assembly. Would Not RecommendWorking through the installation about to have the gate hinge and the hinge just fell off. Looks like there was a terrible weld job from the factory. Now I'm stuck waiting until my local Lowes can get another one in stock. May just go another route.
Worked Perfect!
Would RecommendThis adjust-a-gate fit perfectly and secured our fence gate so that it is sturdy and no more problems with a wobbly gate.

Hinge failed in less than a year
Would Not RecommendThis gate was easy to install, but the hinge just rusted through and broke along the weld in less than a year. I was a bit frustrated to see the break and had to pay to get a replacement part shipped. There is in easy way to directly contact this manufacturer that I could find, and it didn't include a warranty, so I went through a third party vendor to get the part. The weld issue might be a fluke, but I'd definitely say buyer beware!
A good start. No customer support.
This was a good start for a gate kit. It's lightweight and strong. But there are a few things missing. I had to pre-drill through the the crossmembers to anchor them to the 2x4s. The biggest problem was with an inward-opening gate that latches on the inside. Most people build privacy fences by adding 2x4 crosspieces to the front of the 4x4 uprights and then adding the pickets to the crossmembers. This means the entire thickness is 5-5/8". That left me 2 inches short with my latch. I had to ...
Gate reduces clearance thru opening
Would Not RecommendThe instructions showed no dimensions as to the clearance you end up with once the gate is in place. It only opens inward and the hinge pins intrude into the gate opening, and the gate can't open much more than 90°. Worse, the gate itself extends beyond the hinges, further reducing the space available. To add insult to injury, I had to add spacer 2x4s so the fence boards would be flush with the rest of the fence. These spacers reduced the opening by another 1.5". Overall, I lost 4.5", which mean...
Not worth the money or hassle
Would Not RecommendI bought two of these and installed them on Sunday. The next day when I woke up one gate had sagged by about a half an inch. I attempted to relevel with the cable system and the hook pulled right out of the hole. The other gate's hinge has been tightened so much that it has bent the metal and the hinge is still not holding the gate up. It's currently off the hinge because it keeps falling and can't be tightened anymore. It can't be chance that two of these gate systems failed. Now I need to di...
Its a solid gate option, but...
Would RecommendI just completed this install on my gate, which was previously all wood and completely worn out. I'm only giving this 4 stars because the telescoping bars are completely useless; the Telescope rails are not a snug fit into the main rails, they floated! Secondly, in my case, the opening from post-to-post (4x4's) was only 3 feet, the Telescope bars don't work in this case either. So the 2x4 board cut's (2) became most important as they effectively replaced Telescope bars, and this worked out great...

Junk
Would Not RecommendI bought 2 of these. When the fence gets wet and heavy it would not hold and the hinges would slip and the gate would fall. Biggest waste of time ever.
Somewhat easy set-up, improvisation is required
Would RecommendLet me start by stating I am a novice carpenter and have not built many gates prior to this. The box said it would take about an hour to install. Well, it took me about 3 hours. That’s not including the time it too to dig the posts holes, lay the cement, and put up the post. Anyways, instructions were strait forward but failed to address certain things like your wood contracting as is drys. Or if you want your gate flush with the rest of your fense it ay require adding more wood to the front ext...

Great product
Would RecommendSimple DIY project. But from experience with a previous buy, I took the extra time to pre-fit this one with extra care, to total satisfaction.

Would Not RecommendInstalled gate today. Assembly was easy. Two hours after installation, gate was on the ground. Weak welded hinge broke.

Wouldn't purchase
Would Not RecommendI've built several fences for myself over the years. This looked like a fast easy way to put in a gate. I think the idea is good. Maybe I installed it incorrectly but it doesn't seem to keep my gate square. I wish I had stayed with the more traditional gate hardware. It apparently works for some as it appears to get good reviews. When I re-do my gate again which i will need to do soon as the hardware isn't working, I may try and see if I can get it to work but I don't think I would or will buy t...

Adjust a gate
Would RecommendI used this product, with really no expectations. I was amazed of how easy it was to put together and the fact of adjusting the cable kept it leveled. I used this product making a 5 foot gate, and it is very sturdy and works very well. I would differently tell people to buy if building a gate. This item take a lot of issues of keeping it square like building a wood gate.
