What Customers Are Saying
The product is generally well-received, with many users praising its ease of installation, sturdy construction, and versatility in creating custom gates. Most reviews highlight the product's great value, and many found the instructions easy to follow, allowing for quick assembly. However, some customers experienced issues with the hardware not being as durable as desired, leading to problems like the hinge failing within a year. A few reviewers also noted the need for minor modifications, such as drilling additional holes, to work with certain post types or gate configurations. Overall, the product seems to be a good DIY solution, but users may need to use higher-quality hardware for a longer-lasting result.

Worst product ever!
Would Not RecommendGate is advertised as swing in or swing out. What they dont tell you is that if you install it as a swing out there will be a gap of about 2". Also the wire crimp on the turnbuckle was too loose and broke. Screws are cheap and will break easily. Extension tubes are WAY too loose. Very frustrating.
Over sized double gate!

Works great, even on vinyl fencing!
Would RecommendI have a six foot section of vinyl fence that I converted into a gate, thanks to this product. I cut out the fence section, and followed the directions. Afterward, I screwed the fence section onto the 2x4s of the gate. I also added wooden 4x4's in my post for stability. You must have (2)2x4s in order to install this gate. The picture is viewed from inside the fenced area.
Super gate
Would RecommendEasy to assemble, very versatile, Can make practically any type of gate, I just ordered 2 more, Lowe's has the lowest price around. This is a great gate.

It works
Would RecommendMade a huge, heavy 6x6 gate and it held! No sag, as advertised. The frame is not rectangular but more of a rhomboid than rectangular and the 2x4 holder was cock-eyed. Not a problem for me as this was the inside of the gate and not visible from the exterior.

Broken hindge
Would Not RecommendI purchased 2 of these to make a double swinging 10' gate. So each of them are 60". Pretty easy to install with decent directions. I have had the gate for about 6 months now and have open them a total of may 10-12 times. They open and close very easy and have not sagged like my other full wood frames, however one of the hinges broke. I had to remove the gate and weld the hindge back together. Overall a great product except for the weak hindge.
Wasn't sure
Would RecommendThought it was expensive. It was my driveway gate , So I bought it. Couldn't be more happy. Comes with all the hardware you need, including hinges. Easy to use. Gate is perfectly level. I would especially recommend for novices. Really great item, happy with the results
Perfect for fences
Would RecommendI purchased two of the adjust a gate kits for my shadowbox fence. They worked perfectly and the picture of him standing on the gate is no joke. I weigh 200 pounds and I did it (just make sure the bolts are tightened before you do it).
easiest gates I ever made
Would RecommendThe frame kit works perfect, and easy to build/install. I have made gates in the past with wood frames and these are by far the easiest/best gates I have ever made. Would definitely recommend to anybody needing to replace or install new gates. I used two frame kits to build two 6 foot gates for a total opening of 12 feet.
Was not as stable as I thought it would be
Would Not RecommendI purchased this system thinking it would help me build a better stronger gate. I particularly did not like the thinness of the extension bars that are adjustable which allows you to set the gate to the width you need. Another thing I did not care for were the hinges that were attached to the frame, they did not appear to be that strong. I have a wood fence with galvanized poles, the anchor for the gate hinges need to be screwed into a 4x4 (I had 2x4's in place already). This meant I would have ...

i would not buy again
Would Not Recommendbought two of them easy to put up thought they would be a good thing for two six foot gates opened about five times hinge broke at weld bent the gate frame. sent a e-mail to send a new one still havent seen it two months now.cheap product wouldnt recommend. should have just built my own
Makes a strong gate
Would RecommendI have seen these at other peoples houses but had never had the chance to use this until I needed to replace my wooden gate. The system goes together different than I would have expected so it is important to read the instructions. The instructions are fairly well written and make installation easy if followed. I am happy with the final gate using the frame. It is light and opens and closes very easily. Very much worth the money.

Adjust with New Parts
Would RecommendSTARS: 3.5 I mounted this gate on a 12" Block Column. First, like some of the reviewers of this product, the 1" wood screws and 3" wood screws are bad. The phillip slot was NOT deep enough so they would strip out easily, so buy better quality screws. Extra money spent! Second, the gate hinge bolt and nut did not screw together. After returning again to Lowes, they were of different threading. I just replaced the nuts. More money spent! Third, Since mounting to a block column, the post hinge...
Good easy to build product
Would RecommendI just put one of these up to replace an old rotting sagging wood gate. It went together quickly with no problems. The only thing I ran into is the latch hardware is only usable from one side, but I worked around that by using a spring, some paracord, and a garage door cable pulley to make a gadget that opens the latch from the other side - just pull the cord. Have plans to use a couple more of these kits to make a double-wide driveway gate next.
Great frame design
Would RecommendI got several of these kits for my farm. They are in use as fence gates and a door for a duck pen. I was in a hurry to replace a broken door on the duck's pen, so I put the first one up in the dark by moonlight in about an hour. It worked great - level swing, and secure latching. The next day, I took it apart, and reassembled it correctly! Either way, it was strong! The frame design on this gate is structurally sound, no matter which way you place the parts together. It's just better if you put ...
solid gate frame
Would RecommendVery pleased with Gate so far. It seems to be sturdy and functions properly. The only negative would be the extremely cheap and weak aluminum hardware (specifically the wood screws) They easily strip out and are worthless. I used a harder more appropriate hardware to match the rest of the gates' strength.
