easy set up

This was great! Very easy to set up as long as you follow the directions. Make sure you fence post that you are attaching to is in good shape and sturdy.

Installed 4 of these kits while building my privacy fence. Super easy to install, the only problem is that I needed my double gate to swing out which works however there is small gaps on each side. Other than that I’m happy with the kits.

This is the 2nd Adjust a Gate I've used. This time was for a HORIZANTAL SLAT FENCE. There are questions posted here about that style, but I had to figure out how to design my attachment surfaces with out verticals in the middle of gate. I decided to turn the frame 90 deg. and adapt 'two-by' sized lumber ( 6, 8 or 10, I needed the 8s to increase the gate width) and have two attachment verticals The pics show the 'anti-sag' cable installed, but I'm not sure it will be necessary due the frame b...

Good Product-Build a strong straight gate quickly!

I've got 3 individual and two double gates using these kits. They're quick and easy to install and hold up well under wind, time and use.

opening out is not an option

If you center the hinge on the post you get a huge gap. Only way it will swing open toward the outsid. Should be more clear before i wasted all the materials.

Great Gate Frame

Great product for for that space that does not fit a standard gate size and if you want to use something unique for the fencing. Easy to assemble and install

Just use lumber

Metal tubing is not strong. Exceptionally straight lumber needed for this product to work correctly. Built two gates with this product and another of of only lumber. The lumber only gate is more straight and was much quicker to build.

Simple and effective design.

No directions in the box but online video is informative. Very strong gate when finished. Wish they had a version with a deadbolt lock box. I cut the lock side and added one.

Sturdy

We bought two of these gates and both are the perfect fit. The instructions are very easy to follow.

Sags-missing hardware-inadequate hardware

We built our gate 5 ft wide. IT SAGS and drags the ground. The gate consistently falls off the gate hinges. Also, the kit did not include the proper latch component.

Adjustable Gate Frame

Comes with everything - latch, hardware etc everything except the wood. The closer you get to the widest limits causes weakness in the structure. So be aware of that if you need the widest opening- consider getting 2 frames.

Easy gate to install

So happy we bought two of these helped us install our double gate easily. Was very clear instructions. Great quality product.

adjust-a gate

The product looks good out of the box. it is simple to install but no instructions on links for the 2x4 for gate sizes at all. So you have to figure out how long to cut your 2x4 for a 4, 5 or 6 ft gate. I know it says it can hold up 750 lbs but it starts to sag at 350 but it's possible that I didn't do something right but the instructions are not very detailed. But for someone that doesn't know how to build a gate correctly, this is a great product for you to use.

Easy gate build

Using the Adjust-A-Gate made it easy to build a wide gate for back yard. Instructions can be a little confusing but the pictures make for a better understanding. All needed parts were included.

Definitely worth the money compared to building your own gate from scratch. This is (despite its flaws) well engineered & will last much longer than a scratch gate. This project will take you MUCH longer than the 1 hour estimated on the box (unless you’re a pro carpenter. Seriously.). You will need a least a couple extra trips to Lowe’s for this or that hardware. The kit is complete, unusual tubing selection

Everything you need to assemble this steel framed gate is in the box. the instructions are pretty clear, but i had to look at the pictures and description of where to drill holes in the post several times to understand what they wanted. Unless you already have the two by four needed and the 1/2" spade drill bit, you will make a second trip for those items. the most curious thing to me that does not affect the actual function is the selection of the metal square tubing. the smaller piece that...

Great Gate

This gate was not very difficult to install once the directions were read and careful forethought planned out prior to initiating any drilling or cutting. I will likely install this gate on the other side of my house as well.
