Would Recommend"Very DIY-friendly and easy to install. The only issue was that the plastic drain valve was cracked on the hose connection side upon opening the box. Fortunately, it did not leak after filling the tank, but it was a close call

Would Not RecommendThe first one was installed by a plumber and never worked. You have to go through I.O. Smith instead of Lowes if you have issues with the product. My plumber called I.O. Smith and provided all the readings. They gave him a hard time and tried to say it was his fault the defective water heater didn't work. Finally gave authorization to get a replacement. Installed the new water heater. It only provided 3 minutes of hot water. It worked for 3 weeks (01/18/26 to 02/09/26) and then the top element b...

Would Not RecommendOnly reason purchased this unit was for the diameter dimension. Poor build quality, see pictures.. Damaged element assembled with total lack of due care or quality control. Over an hour to get support on the phone, Lowes corporate rude and useless. Based on my experience I do not recommend. Lowes needs to reach out and make things right. Case number . 19512402
