What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise the compact, short profile for fitting tight spaces like crawl spaces and under counters, with side connections enabling easier installation in confined areas. Most report quick, straightforward installation in under an hour and consistent hot water output for daily household needs. Many highlight strong value compared to alternatives and note pre-cut insulation improved efficiency. A small number experienced early defects including leaking valves and thermostat issues, though most users find the combination of space-saving design, ease of setup, and reliable performance highly satisfactory.

Would RecommendAs a family of 4, I wish we could have installed a bigger tank. But our tank is placed under the AC unit in a hall closet so this is the max size that will fit. However it does seem to keep up as long as we space out washing machine and dishwasher from showers. The included blanket is better than I expected and really helps if installed correctly. I recommend turning the themostat up before you put on the blanket as it is set low from the factory.

28 Gallon Water Heater
Would RecommendIt cost me me more to have it installed than the cost of the unit. Unit is doing great this far. It's been in for a couple of weeks.

Informed Consumer - Wish i Knew
Would RecommendJust purchased Proline b/c I was in a pinch (from a wholesale plumbing supply chain). This is the exact same water heater offered by Lowes (called signature series). Lowes price $349. ***** Plumbing supply chain $690 with tax. Plumbing supply chain will not tell you the difference b/c "we don't sell the signature series" and the 18yr old at Lowes didn't know. Spoke with AO Smith customer service (very helpful). The two differences. 1) Proline has a brass drain line, signature series has a...
Right size for the clost
Would Not RecommendPretty easy to install. I needed a thin one to go in the closet space.

Great product!
Would RecommendThe only issue we had installing this water heater is that the connections are on the side instead of the top, like my old water heater. I had very limited space to work with all the hoses and connections so that was something we had to deal with, but all in all, it was a basic installation. We are pleased with the product.

Water heater
Would RecommendSeems to be a quality water heater. Short and squatty to fit in tight space. Side connections help a lot.

Thermostat Wiring Shorted in less than 72 hours!
Would Not RecommendI bought and had this water heater installed on Jan 2 2019, and it quit working on the 5th, due to what was determined to be faulty wiring in the thermostat. I called the warranty number and was offered a replacement heater and $100 dollars to have it re-installed. Considering that this is roughly 1/10th of what I have been charged in labor so far, (still awaiting an invoice from electrician to ensure it wasn't faulty wiring) I am very unsatisfied. I work in customer service and honestly couldn'...
