Heating element failure and leakage in <2 years.

Purchased in 2024 to maintain a hot water "loop" in my home's "on-demand" system. Began leaking past the terminal screw, shorting/destroying the Intermatic timer. Upon removal of the lower element, it had deformed and split open lengthwise. My plumber had never seen anything like it - Beware!

Seemed like an ideal replacement for our undercounter water heater. Side connections made installation easier than the previous model's top connections in tight spaces. Worked great until one day we looked in to find water in the pan and the insulation soaked. The pan saved us from damaging the downstairs neighbor's condo. Now I have for try for a warranty replace and do a lot of work to remove and replace it.
