I replaced the same exact valve that is attached to my sump discharge line. Not sure how old the one I replaced was but was worn out enough to allow minimal back flow into the sump tank. I do like that the rubber couplings are two different sizes. My discharge tube from my pump is 1 1/2" dia. and my discharge piping is 1 1/4" dia. This made it very convenient.

Dependable Check Valve
Would RecommendI have always used the Zoeller Check Valve with all my Sump Pumps. I have never had a Zoeller check valve fail. I always replace the check valve when I replace sump pump. This is a dependable and cost effective check valve that can be installed in vertical or horizontal position.

Check valve
Would RecommendI replaced the same valve in a sump pump discharge line. I was not getting an immediate cessation of back flowing discharge water. When I removed the original valve which had been in-place several years I discovered it was visually like-new. I changed it anyway but had the same problem. I next secured the sump pump so it couldn’t twist and that immediately resolved the problem of excessive return of discharged water.

Temporary unit
Would Not RecommendInstalled in new build 2009. Did the job until it split from the hammering when the sump pump shut off. Squirted water 8ft high and caused water damage to floor decking above. Could have been much worse if undetected. If you put one of these in, keep checking on it.
