Do you really want to see dirty water?

Bought this one since the way described, thought it would be better check valve than the old one I had that we suspected no longer worked. installation was good, however, kept leaking past clamps a bit no matter how much it was tightened (leaked on the valve side not the pipe side). The other thing is that it was not kool to see the dirty waste water.

This is a great product. You can see the flap and be able to see if it's not working. Since I put it in have had no more problems.

After 30 years in our house I have finally found a check valve that delivers. No more clunk! Now the dishes will not rattle in the dining room!!! Super easy to install. Well worth the extra money. Should have done it 29 1/2 years ago.....

Thumper has left the building!

New house to us and had same make check valve and thumped shut right under our bedroom. This “quiet” model is worth the higher cost as it will let you sleep at night. Easy swap with existing valve with only a screwdriver for the clamps needed.

It's a miracle valve

Had thumping and humming noise when pump operates. Installed it leaving the original valve as is. What a difference. Noise is gone. 100% satisfied with this product. Thanks to Zoeller engineers who came up with this design. Easy install. Would recommend to everyone who is having noise/thumping issue.

My wife and I went searching for a "quiet" check valve as our previous cheap model valve was making very loud hammering noises every time the sump pump ran and shut off. Found this one and the reviews were positive so ordered one and installed it two days ago. Simple installation. finally quiet

After installing a new sump pump I had the dreaded check valve clunk, actually more of a bang every time the pump would finish running. Had the regular in-line valve on there and then tried a basement watchdog anti-clunk, it was actually worse than the cheap valve I had on there. Even though this Zoeller clear plastic check-valve doesn't have the word 'quiet' or 'silencer' in its product name, that's exactly what it does! We bought thi today from a Lowes here in town for just under thirty clams, and it took us literally less than 10 minutes to unhook the old used up check-valve from my sump pump, and attach this Zoller model 1030-0242 one instead. It made a HUGE difference, and now whenever my sump pump goes off in the basement, I hear NO knocking afterwards whatsoever...

Well worth the money!

I don’t write many reviews but I had to on this. Zoeller makes the best pumps. My last one lasted 16 years. (M54). I always got a bang when my pump shut off and the standard Zoeller check valves never failed. So, I read about this and spent the extra 15 bucks hoping it MIGHT make a little difference.
