Really works

I read mixed reviews about this check valve. Our old valve was extremely loud instead of replacing the entire pump, I started with this. You can no longer hear the sump running and the click that it made when shutting off.

Quiet and easy to install

We are very happy with this product. We had endless issues with previous check valves. We use this on a basement kitchen ejector pump (pipe diameter works for our set up, but not all from what I have heard). It was super easy to install and doesn't give us the loud thump that we heard with others. I like that it will be easy to swap out if/when it needs to be replaced.

It's nice to see the valve is working

I purchased this because I had a suspicion that the old "quiet" check valve wasn't operating properly. There was no way to tell for sure, aside from the sound of flowing water which could have been from the drain tiles. Nice design

It gives me an option to attach a metal pipe. It much easier for me to see the water flow from that clear pipe valve. The problem is that there is no information from Zoeller Company's recommendation for a washing machine connection because it does not want to be involved. Simply, I need the size of the hose to connect between the Zoeller's valve and the washer machine's new rubber hose. Works perfectly - diagonal installation

This valve does not make a sound when it closes. The check valve on my sump outlet was mounted at a 45 degree angle. I was not sure if this would work at that angle, but it does. The rubber couplings make it easy to install as well. I had to cut off a few inches from one end of the PVC it attached to, but that was it. It's more costly than other standard PVC valves, but it's totally worth it.

Well worth the extra $ for this terrific valve!

My old check valve never worked quite right and finally the valve piece broke causing constant back flow through the pump and into the well. Obviously, that's not good for the pump or the goal of getting the water out and it also isn't good for the power bill. Plus, it's very noisy. I popped this bad boy on in a matter of minutes (between cycles of the pump with plenty of time to spare) and it works like a charm. Best $30 spent! No more sleepless night!

This solved my clunking problem! I had a plumber come look at my pump as it was keeping my roommate and son up at night every time it ran. It sounded like a machine gun! He told me nothing he could do because I had too much line and it was just the force of the water. So I got in the Googler and googled and came across this project, with the help of my Dad for install (easy install for a handy person), I never hear my pump run! Night and day difference. So thankful for this product!

Not so silent valve

I installed the value last Saturday, worked well for 5 days, however yesterday found the same normal back water sound and observed that the valve randomly remains open allowing the water in the top pipe to flow back to the pit. Also at times water flows from the spring side without the valve fully opening, so the seat sealing is improper. Silent - good buy

I have a 2 story home with my bedroom upstairs. My old pump and check valve literally woke me up this spring in a heavy storm. The valve would bang shut every time the pump ran. quietest check valve ever

UP graded to a more powerful pump causing a thudding noise everytime it would turn off did a bit of online Research and came across this installed it in five minutes and it is quieter than it’s ever been before

TWo years ago I installed a Basement Watchdog Klunkless check valve. It worked fairly well. It lasted about a year. I bought another one. It lasted about a year. It became totally ineffective. I replaced it today with a Zoeller quiet check valve. It is completely quiet. What an improvement.

This thing is outstanding

We picked this up in hopes of silencing the incredibly loud, obnoxiously frequent knocking from the pump in the new house. Installed it in just a few minutes. We are absolutely thrilled with the results. No noise what so ever from the pump, instantly. It's eerie honestly. Can't even tell the pump runs now. It's so quiet! 100% would purchase again. Sanity saved!

Very quiet!

I replaced the old thump check valve with this quiet check valve. Wow what a difference! Very quiet no thump or banging.

Very Quite Check Valve

This Valve does not smack closed and make all the noise that the one that the plumber installed and I replaced because of the loud noise.

Dog no longer barks when sump pump powers on.

This check valve is well worth the cost to me. With my old check valve when my sump pump would power on and the water would slam down on the check valve causing a loud thud my dog would bark which would frighten my toddler and she would start crying and we would yell to stop barking and everyone is now upset. I rarely notice now when the sump pump activates.

Silent check valve

Easy install, no more banging, all I hear now is a little hum when sump pump is running, no sound when it shuts off, so quiet I have to go downstairs to make sure sump pump is working.

AWESOME

YES! Just had my Sump Pump replaced. Have a water backup system as well, so Plumber tied it all in together again and installed two new check valves. The new check valve was working perfect, but when the valve closed, you could hear the THUMP throughout the house. Very annoying. Totally worth the extra $15!

I am very impressed at how quiet it is! That irritating water hammer noise that I used to hear in the second floor bedrooms when the old valve closed, is completely gone. I can hardly hear it closing even when standing next to it. I wish I had installed this 20 years ago. It’s simple to install. If you moisten the pipe ends it will slide easily onto the pipe ends.
