Would Not RecommendThe plastic 'collar' so large that it interferes with turning on/off the water. Plus, it leaks horribly unless you tighten it to the point of almost cracking the plastic. Now I have to drive an hour round trip to return this piece of crap. I will probably just smash it with a hammer and throw it in the garbage and chalk the $8 loss up to "lesson learned".

Would RecommendThis works great! It comes with a black O-ring gasket. It doesn't leak. It's perfect for hooking up the hose to water the garden, and being able to fill up the dog's water bowl from the spigot without all the change up. Nice

Would Not RecommendCouple of issues with this thing. First is the dissimilar metals issue mentioned by someone else that caused my hose end to corrode to the shut-off. Bigger problem is that while the hose connections are metal, the connector to the spigot is plastic. While pulling a hose around to the side of my house about a week after purchasing the valve, the plastic broke, rendering it useless.
