Would RecommendThis machine is great! dug up the area for our garden with ease. I would recommend this machine t anyone who is seriously looking for a new Tiller. Also, there was a small amount of assembly when it arrived at our house. Lowes had to us in one week from the date of order. So kudos to Yardmax, and Lowes!
Good Machine for a Fair Price
Would RecommendRight out of the box, the YardMax preformed well. Easy to start, easy to handle.

transmission issues
Would Not RecommendThis unit went together easy. I was very impressed the first time out. But on its second use the tines and forward/backward motion stopped. I called YardMax and they told me it was likely a faulty transmission. I’m working with Lowes to correct this. Hoping they will do me right.
Great Machine, except oil fill
Rototiller works fantastic. Easy to use and worked the soil well. Would have given it 5 stars, but the setup to check and add oil is poorly engineered. A funnel came with the machine, but it is straight and can't be stuck in the hole. Had to add a flexible tube to the funnel to fill the oil.
Just what I needed
Would RecommendWas shipped to my house for free. Arrived a day early! Assembled easily and, once the carb filled with gas, pretty much started right up.
Almost exactly like our old craftsman tiller that lasted 25+ years. The price was excellent. Hubby loves it.

Great tiller
Would RecommendWe absolutely love this tiller, we had to fix a stripped screw upon arrival of the tiller as we were putting it together. I would have given a 5 star if we hadn't to replace a part on a brand new purchase.
New tiller purchase
Would RecommendTiller does a great job of digging the soil. Easy to start and handle. Highly recommend if you're in the market for a rear tine tiller.
Fast Delivery/Easy to Set up
Would RecommendI received this tiller by truck delivery to my home shortly after ordering it online. It arrived boxed up on a shipping pallet. It took about 30 minutes from the time it was unloaded from the truck until I had it started and tilling a small patch of my garden to try it out. Only a few parts needed to be assembled.
pleased
Would RecommendDelivery never happened. I had to go to FedEx to pick it up. Product is outdtanding for the price. Plenty of power and easy to operate. Going to get many years out of this, for sure.
This machine is a work horse. I am 69 with some health issues and I can operate it with no issues. I personally don't think you can find a better tiller with the same features for the price. I researched several machines before making the purchase and I am highly satisfied and glad I bought this tiller.
Not For Heavy Duty
Would Not RecommendI purchased this tiller to establish food plots at my hunting cabin in N.E. Pennsylvania. It might be fine for light-duty home-garden use, but in virgin rocky soil the shear pins break every 15 minutes. Another problem is that the tiller stalls out tilling the side of a hill, even one with a very small grade. The fan belt keeps slipping off of the wheel, causing the operator to constantly remove the tire and side shield to adjust the belt. I had to get a mechanic to adjust the belt lever and...

Good All Around Tiller
Would RecommendThis tiller came nearly assembled in cardboard box. A few nuts and bolts, done! Started on the first pull. Had problems with the right tine shearing the tine clevis pin. Support is working with me to correct the issue. Happy so far with the purchase.
Solidly Built Product
Would RecommendWe ordered this tiller on April 3rd and it arrived April 9th. It only took a few minutes to assemble and prep. I added the supplied oil and after adding gasoline, the tiller started on the first pull. It seems to be a solidly built piece of equipment and I'm pleased with my purchase.
Great Tiller
Would RecommendThe spark plug was torqued to the point of breaking the ceramic and needing to be replaced, otherwise the tiller works great!!
Yardmax Rear Tine Tiller is an Excellent Product!
Would RecommendI love the one hand operation, as well as the dual rotating tines. The product is excellently made. The adjustable tilling depth is great as well as the soil resistor/stand (I'm not sure what to call it). Some added features that would be pretty cool would be an additional forward speed control to move the tiller forward faster, and a holding system to hold up the leveling plate to work on/see the tines. Overall, great product and I would recommend.
how easy it is to operate.
Would RecommendTiller received yesterday (4/10/21). Unpacked (easy to do), finished assembly, checked tire pressure, added oil (included with tiller), added fuel, pulled start rope (one time) and it was running and ready to go. Like a kid with a new toy, I had to try it out. I was impressed! It tills the most difficult yard surface with ease. Buy one, you will be happy with your choice.
Beast
Would RecommendEasy to assemble starts right up. This tiller is a beast and does the job well. Highly recommend
Terrible in Rocky Ground
Would RecommendThis tiller is a good tool but if you have rock in your garden they hang up in the tines, causing the belt to slip and squeal the tires are to small and spin all the time causing the tiller to be hard to control also with the tiller in forward tine rotation it will get out of control very easily
