Bad product

Cuts off frequently after about 10 minutes of work. If tiller "TILTS" slightly to one side or the other during use it cuts off. Hope that you have 'flat' ground to tiller. Drivetrain is terrible. Tines won't turn and wheels won't engage in forward or reverse when placed in the appropriate gears. I have only about 2 hours work in total out of 5 days of attempts. Bought through LOWES with extended warranty. Let's just see how "easy" it will be to get redress, or not.

Product just as described. Used to till an entire front yard in prep for planting new seed.

Definitely recommend the Yardmax tiller

I have used several different brands of tillers … Troybilt, Craftsman, and Club cadet and my Yardmax outdoes them all !! Great product would definitely recommend!,

Other than having to re-tighten the belt tensioner after a few hours of use it’s done better than the front tine tiller i used to in half the time.

So far so good

Easy to start, maybe a half pull, seems to be a tough machine. The only problem is it's hard to control on uneven ground. One tip I will give is to till from shallow to deep in small increments.

Good tiller

Needed to tighten the belt for tougher, first time soil tilling, can slip some when challenged, but holds up well. Has about 20 hours on it so far.

Starts easy, does the job well, and digs deep!

I needed to break up some very hard soil in western North Carolina and my older 24" front-tine tiller just bounced around - but the Yardmax 4565 has saved my garden project. The machine starts on the first or second pull and although quite heavy, it is easy to maneuver. When you get to the end of a row, just lift the back end and pivot into the new direction. Good Tiller

I purchased this tiller to plant Raspberries. It wound up being in an area that was leveled off several years ago, and had lots of rocks. I tilled in Reverse an area that was three rows of about 120 ft long and I took three front bucket loads of rocks out of the orchard that the tiller tilled out of the ground. strong and powerful

I have never used a rear tine tiller before now, and now realize how important depth settings are, starting shallow and then work your way deeper incrementally. This Yardmax helped us get our garden plot tilled up fairly quickly, and got easier with OJT. We are very happy.

Overall good, but has design flaws

Works great, but set up was a pain. Most of the set up went well except for adding the oil. The placement of the fill hole/dipstick is horrible and the placement of the oil drain plug isn't any better.

We desperately needed a new rototiller. They are hard to come by these days this one was in stock so we went ahead and ordered it. The directions to put it together were very good. So far it functions like it’s supposed to and hasn’t given us any trouble.

Love this tiller

Very powerful. The dual rotating rear tones make quick work of plowing new ground. The forward rotation fills and cultivates with easy. I may never need to get my old front tine tiller out again.

Easy to assemble handle and gear shift lever. Started on first pull. Excellent job of tilling new garden plot.

Great Tiller For Price

I watched tons of reviews and videos and everything led me back to the yardmax rear tine tiller. It was mostly assembled, and easy to complete assembly and is the very best most powerful machine with all of the bells and whistles of the high end units for less than half the price! I highly recommend this tiller.

Needed adjustments to belt tension

Tiller did not work out of the box. Engine started fine, but any resistance while tilling resulted in slipping belt. I had to set the belt tension (cable length) in order to engage the spring on the tensioner pully. Out of the box, pulling the handle completely was not enough to engage the belt. If you purchase this item you MUST tension the belt before use.
