Good field sharpener with many features

This field sharpener has many cool features, but I am surprised that it has the same angle (20 degrees) for all four angle guides. I can’t figure out why it doesn’t have a different angle (like 15 degrees) on one side while keeping the 20 degree angles in n the other. If it has a blade, this will sharpen it

Very nice and compact blade sharpener. For basic knives I particularly liked the 20 degree angled blade guide which provides for maximum sharpness without deforming the blade from over-angling. I admit I’ve struggled with that in the past so this is a nice feature to protect me from myself. There is a coarse side and a fine side, both with 20 degree guides. Super excited to finally receive my Guided Field Sharpener. It looks like it will be a handy tool to use when I am working out in the pasture, in my garden, cutting wood and fishing. It is a handy size that won't take up much room in my tool bag.

This is a nice portable sharpener that I carry around in my tool bag. It comes in handy when I need to sharpen onsite & when I don't have access to my wet stone. The only drawback is that it only sharpens straight edges & nothing curved

Swiss Army Knife of Sharpeners!

This is the handiest tool in my boat. You can use it to sharpen your knives, hooks, whatever else you have that requires a sharp edge. I touch up my filet knife every time I use it. It will automatically put your knife at the correct angle for you. I put a lanyard on it and hook it to a support so it's always available and easy to reach to touch up a hook. I have been very impressed with the versatility and options this tool has. I great addition to any toolbox.

Handy Knife Sharpener

This is a nice knife sharpener. It has some good features. There is a coarse honing stone on one side, and a fine grit on the obverse. Each side has an angled plane to facilitate honing at the correct angle. There is also a rotatable ceramic bar and a leather strip for fine edge finishing. All in all, a handy little tool.

One of the best engineered products I've ever seen

This is one of the best compact tools I've ever worked with. I chose this sharpener because I didn't already own any type of sharpener and I needed something to take care of my micro Leatherman. I was excited to try this knife sharpener because we live on a ranch and use our knives constantly. Nothing worse than trying to cut round bale netting with a dull knife! Interesting concept for sharpener

This sharpener has very interesting concept of its kind. It has fine to coarse options depending the job in hand. If your knife needs just a bit of sharpening then the the smooth option from dial can get it done but if it required a good grinding then the side plates are your choice. It has both ceramic and metal options. Overall very good product.

Good for a pinch

This is a bit smaller than I expected, which comes with challenges. Even with a small 1.5” blade folding knife you almost run out of abrasive surface drawing the knife. Larger knives are 2 to even 4 swipes per blade side per round. And because of the size your fingers are awfully close. With a bigger knife I’d wear a glove to use this. I give it four stars because I feel keeping it small and sharpening in a pinch was the design plan. And it works for that. But the design has challenges.
