Display dont work after a week of owning. Whirlpool customer service for this units is an absolute waste. Whirlpool customer service wants you to take the unit apart so they can send you parts until something fixes it. Dont waste your time and money for something that doesn't work.

Piping size change with no indication.

Was replacing the same model water softener and discovered the in out pipes had been changed from 1" to 3/4". No mention of this in on line documentation. Found out after getting home and opening box. Seller had no idea of this change.

A total disaster

A total disaster. Fed ex shows up wth the box laying on it's side in the truck. Driver drags it out and I can see the box is all beat up. Driver says any problems and they will return it and he leaves. Upon opening the box I find the brine well broken, resin tank loose, a round gasket laying at the bottom, and a plastic tab on control unit broken off. Whes44 Water Softener

This was purchased to replace a worn out Whirlpool water softener. The installation was done by a plumber. The existing water pipes did not align exactly with this newer model. It is taller and thinner. Once installed, it has been flawless. I love the feeling of soft water verses the hard city water.

Low Flow

Unit claims not met at all. Wifi connection to the app doesn't work, pressure drop across unit is excessive. Whole house drops to sub 5 psi when the washer is running. Can't take a shower if you are doing anything else.

Pretty easy to install. Worst part is getting the old one out if you are replacing one. Not a product issue but shipment sucked. Took forever to get the first one I ordered delivered and I watched it get dropped off the truck. Called the store and refused this and requested a replacement be delivered from the store. Soft water lover

Our old softener died. I liked that this one doesn’t need to be reset every time the electricity is off and that it has a low salt indicator light to let you know when it needs more salt. It was a single unit, our old one was 2-it had a separate salt tank. This one seems to run pretty quiet.
