No Parts in box for installation!
Be careful, open the box before you purchase, or the delivery person leaves. Mine came with no parts to install the unit. Now we are waiting another week or so for the parts to arrive.

Shipped on its side
I knew the order was going to be shipped via Fedex and knew the unit was going to be shipped on its side. As soon as I saw the delivery truck, I went outside, and yup, the box was on its side. I refused the item as I am not gonna take any chances. The box clearly states on it "This side up". I wish Lowe's wold not use Fedex when shipping their items.

My old system was old and analog. I added this product and a water filter system to enhance my well water. I have no odors now and was happy with the small footprint of this new softener.

Would RecommendUnfortunately, the contractors Lowe's referred for my purchased installation of a product in store, gave me a strong sale pitch to purchase a water softener that they themselves were marketing. Stressed that they could not warranty Lowe's product but would warranty their product for 20 years. Their prices were around $2,800 to $3000. All total, with a plumbing company I acquired and my instore purchase, my total cost was $1,700.

Self installation by a novice!
Would RecommendI owner installed this softener and didn’t have any major issues. Although I thought it would match up with the plumbing from my previous water softener, no such luck. That being said, I was able to switch to a metal semi flexible pipe and loop up and back down and attach the plumbing. You can also turn the inlet/outlet piece of the water softener around and bring your water supply up from the bottom too.
