waste of money

the gun may be ok with other tips but the ones it came with are darn near useless, I am NASA certified in soldering and could not make a single decent connection with this kit as supplied on an O2 sensor harness in my car...I am tempted to cut them all out and use crimp connections, but I will go spend more money get good tips and some decent solder and make this crap work.....No more Weller kits for me.

Unfortunately the soldering tip missing was the one I needed to repair yard lights.

Weller Makes the Best

I have used Weller soldering guns for about 60 years. Mine finally crapped out so I bought this one which did not disappoint. I have not used the lead-free solder it came with yet, but it works well with lead/tin electronics solder. Plenty of power. I have only used the conventional tip, but it comes with 3. BTW, it was the only gun Lowe's had at the time, but I would have bought it anyway.

i dont know what happened

Last night I was in the middle of soldering some connectors to my lipos when the gun just went up in smoke and since then hasn't turn on. Will Lowes offer me a replacement considering I only had it less than a month and I still have the receipt?

Weller 9400PKS

Thought I would do ok with a reputation like Weller. Imagine my surprise. Soldering tip split in two after soldering only ten 14ga. wires together. Do not waste your time on this.

Nice tool to have

Bought this the other day to run some wires. It performed great. This is a quality tool at a good price. I highly recommend it.

Broken tip on the first day

On my 3rd wire the gun would not melt the solder because the tip was week and cracked open

Exactly what it’s supposed to do

I’ve previously purchased another kit which didn’t last more than one use. I haven’t had this new one for long but it got the job done when trying to fix a bracket on my truck. It’s sturdy and had everything I needed.
