What Customers Are Saying
The Weber adapter hose appears to have quality and durability issues, with many customers reporting problems such as cracking, leaking, and the hose becoming non-functional within a short period of use. This has led to safety concerns, including propane leaks and fires. Customers express frustration with the poor quality given the premium price, and some suggest looking for alternative, more reliable hose options.

Would RecommendReplaced one that was many years old. Even simple for a 75 year old woman.

Worked well, for a little while
Would Not RecommendJust like many, many others, the coupler on adapter hose failed and doesn't allow gas to reach the burner in an amount required to even keep the grill lit. This caused a problem on my last RV trip since I had planned to do the cooking, as usual, for our family and another RV family. I do really like the Q 2200 grill, but this hose has caused much disappointment for many users. Is there any good solution?

Same broken flange problem as everyone else
Would Not RecommendSame problem as the other reviewers--White ring spacer/flange on green coupling fractured after a few uses, now the valve won't seat properly in the propane tank. This is my second hose, same problem. Can you please send an improved version? Thank you!

Canned, Stock Answer to Problem With Hose Washer
Would Not RecommendYou guys keep giving the same canned answer to all these people who are having problems with the washer disintegrating on the propane adaptor hose. It's great that you will replace it under warranty but why don't you just fix the d@$% thing already?!!!!

Hose adapter leaks-is there supposed to be a gaske
Would Not RecommendHose leaks at the tank connection. Appears to be no gasket. Is there supposed to be one?

Got rid of expensive 1lb cans
Would RecommendNo more having to change 1lb cans in the middle of cooking.

Weber Q is the best
Would RecommendLove the Weber Q grill and cart - didn’t use the hose yet but I’m sure it’s fine. 1 lb bottles are very handy for travel - 1 bottle lasted at least 4 hours.

Seal falls out....Weber will not send out seal.
Would RecommendHose works great when new and with grill end seal in place. After several uses grill end seal loosens up and falls out. It is a very small seal and an o-ring of the proper size might work. The PROBLEM is, with the seal not in place a leak WILL occur causing a SEVERE FIRE hazard. Weber engineering needs to address this and provide seals to their dealers and as an available part on the website. The customer service representative kindly sent me a new hose even after I informed him it was too old...

Started Leaking Less Than 1 Year old
Would Not RecommendI purchase this less than a year ago from Lowes Then one day it just starts leaking from the adapter that screws onto the propane tank I thank God that I could hear the leak as soon as I turned the valve on, otherwise it could have resulted in a fire or worse

Not durable
Would Not RecommendThe fitting that screws into the propane tank has some type of brittle plastic that dosent last more then a year or 2. Our second hose stopped working during our last vacation. Not recommended if you need a reliable hose.

Excellent replacement part.
Would RecommendI have a much older Q 200 model grill. It was not working so bought a new replacement adapter hose. Works perfectly. Was so surprised that it will also work on the new Gas Go Anywhere grill, so if I do not want to use the small portable gas tanks I will order another Adapter hose.

Great Purchase
Would RecommendLove our new Weber grill but not the small propane canisters. Bought the adapter hose for larger propane tank and an very happy. High quality, easy on and off. Happy grilling!

A squirrel's delight
Would RecommendWe installed the #6501 hose, used it that night and the next morning it was in two pieces with debris all over the deck. Upon reading other reviews referencing the same squirrel issue, we are hoping Weber has a steel mesh hose option.

Only lasted 3 months
Would Not RecommendHose worked fine for 3 months and then started leaking out from where rubber hose meets brass fitting. Disappointing durability.

Short lifespan for the price
Would Not RecommendWe bought this hose in June of 2018 to use with our Q when camping. Now, it doesn't work. There is no gas flow. I've tried multiple combinations of LP tanks and the Q and stove we used it on last year. I'm now looking for an OEM hose that is, hopefully, more reliable.

Works great!
Would RecommendMakes the grill reach the table perfectly. It replaces a larger grill that rusted out.

Hose Stopped working after very little use.
Grill still working fine with 1 lb. bottle. Understand there is a problem with the tank connector on these hoses. Can I find a Weber hose that will last longer ?

Another hose failure
Would Not RecommendHose that came with my Q1000 (less than one year old) failed as others have stated. White plastic piece inside green tank connector broke into several pieces. Weber have you addressed this ongoing issue? Would very much like a solution. The two year warranty means nothing if the part continues to fail. Grill is great BTW.
