Failed on 1st day

Purchased. Installed batteries per instructions. Worked for 1 day and then failed to operate. Changed batteries. Same result.

Good for a few months…

Only lasted a few months. Grill / light was in a covered area as well.

great when it works but doesn't last long

I've had three of these lights. The first lasted a reasonable time before it stopped working. The second stopped after a short time. I replaced it and third lasted only a few months. It's much too expensive to be this unreliable. I just gave up on a grill light.

Grill light doesn't have enough width/brightness

I have been using this light for a year, and I like the look and style, but I have a 4-burner grill, very large and this light just doesn't put out enough light for me. Why don't you make one similar but with brighter light and wider spread of light for the bigger grills? Grill Light #7516

Great when it worked

Bright and the auto off feature when the cover is closed is fantastic. It stopped working over the summer ~7 month after i bought it. new batteries did not solve it. tried again, thinking my batteries must be old....nope. now just not working. dry inside the unit. I believe the interior actuator button which is not contacting the the rubber switch on the outside.

Did not fit my Genesis Silver C handle.

I have an older Genesis Sliver C grill. Grill light box said good for Genesis models. It is not even close to fitting my grill's handle. Will have to return it. Suggest a less generic listing of grills it fits on box.

A great upgrade!

The new BBQ light works way better than the old model. Best of all it is easy to take inside when you are finished grilling.

Gas grill handle light

I bought this two years ago for two of my kids who bought genesis grills upon my husbands suggestion because we love ours. Both kids recently informed me their lights have stopped working even after new batteries were installed.

Worked for couple of weeks, then stopped

It was on and off randomly after a month or so, and now it’s completely dead.

Awful

I bought this a year ago and it just stopped working. I replaced the batteries and it still doesn't work. garbage product.

It worked for less than a year

I got this gift about a year ago. I was excited to finely get a light for evening cooking. Recently I changed the batteries and it stopped working. So disappointed. I really expected better quality.

Low quality

Lifetime Weber fan - both charcoal and propane. Splurged for the Genesis and loved the handle light. We grill 2-3x/month - light stopped working. New batteries didn’t solve the problem. Not inexpensive to replace. You are better than this, Weber.

Garbage

Light is 2 years old, used it about 10 times. Just stopped working.

Worked until the light no shut off - ELECTRO SCRAP

This product worked well until the light would not shut off and it ate the batteries. Batteries replaced and the light remains on dimly and the batteries died yet again. The batteries are not easy to access and installation is not easy either so I simply left the dead lamp on the grill. Upon replacing the grill recently I revisited the lamp and attempted to see if there was a way to fix the switch. Nothing I could see to repair so here we are with another piece of electronic scrap to dispose of....

Grill light won't turn off!

I have the same issue with the faint light staying on even when the lid is raised and it does not extinguish requiring me to remove the batteries so they don't drain. However, I haven't noticed any water issues in the light as others have noted as the grill is always under cover. Or could it be that one night that I forgot to cover it and we had rain? Now that it is getting darker earlier is the time I need the light the most and it is sitting on my counter useless. When it was working prope...

Handle light.

I got the new Guinness 2 special edition grill for Father's Day.. After a while the handle light light is loose and you cannot tighten. It just hangs there and is useless at this point. Looking for solutions on how to tighten it . I love the grill however the light portion worked great in the beginning And I wish I would continue to work because it's a great feature.

Fills with watee

Like others, this started out working well, but started having issues after a month or two. First I noticed a freight light constantly glowing. Then it stopped working altogether. When I looked, the whole bulb area was filled with water. I angled it up and it started draining out, bit the light no longer works. I used it 5-6 times before it died. Waste of money. I intentionally went with a Weber branded light to ensure quality, so am very disappointed.
