What Customers Are Saying
The Weber igniter kit is generally well-received, with most customers finding it easy to install and effective in restoring their older grills to full working order. The replacement part is reported to fit well, and the grill starts up easily after installation. However, some customers have experienced issues with the igniter components rusting or deteriorating over time, requiring periodic replacement. Overall, the igniter kit is considered a reliable and straightforward solution for reviving older Weber grills, though users should expect to replace it every 5-6 years with frequent grilling.

Return to normal operation
Would RecommendExactly what I needed to replace the corroded igniter housing and dysfunctional igniter. Easy to install and working again like new

Compatible with most
Would RecommendCompatible with “most” Genesis grills. True statement, but not with mine which is very old. However with some modifications I was able to make it work. The spark box and hot lead wire we’re all I needed. I had to widen the hole for the wire and I was in business. Love my Weber, 30 years old and keeps on cooking.

Replaced starter
Although I have an older Weber Silver grill it still works fine and I like it. The starter works fine although I'm surprised how quickly it wears out and how the little box disolves with use.
