Get the 250

It looks like the 250 but it doesn't spray like the 250. It is like painting with a magic marker. Spend the extra $20 and get the 250. I have a 250 and it is much better than this...don't try to save money like I did...get the 250! It looks the same but it ain't the same!

Good Price for this type Sprayer

I have not been able to us mine yet I have had so much rain in my area but I have 10 gallons of stain to do my back yard fence with ready to go when the spring rains or over.

Work's well with sealer.

I used this sprayer to seal 210 ft. of pickett fence. Only cleaned the tip once. Did not have to thin the sealer to spray.Great for DYI.

Cut time in half

Had 200' if fence to stain. Due to rough finish even a roller with 1/2" nap was hard. User sprayer cut the time by at least 50%. No problems at all with plugging. For big jobs could use a larger reservoir.

Bad Experience

I am happy for all of the customers that gave this product a good review. In my case, however, it worked quite poorly and I will probably never use it again. I was attempting to spray paint a deck and railing with high quality stain. The sprayer instructions said that this type of stain did not need to be thinned. Easy to use and saved a ton of time

I used this sprayer to stain a shed that is 16'x24'. The instructions stated that solid stain was too thick for the sprayer. Well, it worked just fine. About 2/3 of the way thru the job I had a clog in the nozzle but it cleaned up quickly with soap and water. I finished the job without a problem. The shed has texture 1-11 on it and while the instructions also stated that you should back brush (or use a roller) after spraying, I stopped doing that after one side. Low price and performance

Easy to operate and clean but don't expect stunning results. The spray pattern was splotchy and uneven at times even with the thin sealant I used. If you use a clear sealant you may not notice but I was applying a redwood stain and didn't care for the inconsistent coverage.

Amazing

I don’t do reviews but I had to after using the Wagner control spray. First off let me say anyone can paint like a pro with this guy. My wife took over staining are fence and we did it in 8 hours. 5 years ago it took us 5 days with a 4in brush. I bought this product in hopes it would be faster then hand brushing but I never thought it would work as good as it did. Terrible

I went thru the instructions following them precisely. I started with it at the minimum spray level and it was so heavy it’s running down the boards . It says it has a two stage trigger to let the flow begin before spraying the clear sealer but it could not flow air with out product . I literally could stop spraying and it would keep running out the end . I would rather have brushed my deck with a two brush than have the mess this thing caused

Exceptionally Disappointed

After all the great reviews, I was excited to purchase this sprayer to apply a semi-transparent stain to a fence I just built. What a bargain this sprayer seemed at $70. Well, you get what you pay for comes true again. Read the instructions thoroughly and no matter how I set the sprayer, it made a sputtering mess of my new fence. It made such a mess that I’m going to have to paint the fence now which kills me because I wanted the wood to show through. I’m out $70 in stain as well! I’ll be retur...

Wood Staining must have

Don’t waste your time with the plastic weed sprayers, if you are looking to stain a fence, deck or any wood project. I tried them and struck out, before finding this sprayer. This Wagner sprayer is very easy to use and adjust to. Saved me a ton of time & headaches. Only used it one time so far on my fence, but cleaned it up per the instructions, out it away & can’t wait to use it again.

WIsh inwould have gotten this for the first coat i did by hand. By far, one of the best purchases ive made.

AWESOME SPRAYER

This was my first step into Wagner power sprayers. I had attempted several other methods to seal my wood fence. Brushing/rolling took too long and using a pressurized sprayer did not hold up nor consistently spray. Once I started spraying with the Wagner Opti Stain Plus Sprayer, sealing the fence became a breeze. The controlled spray was accurate and coated the fence well. While I did have to refill quite often, it was still easier and faster than the aforementioned methods.

Worked great for me

I only have about 50' of 3-rail 2x8 rough-sawn cedar fence but one side has wire net fencing attached to block animals. Some of that wire bulges out quite away from the rails making brushing on stain a nightmare. I was dubious but this sprayer worked absolutely great to spray Sherwin-Williams Woodscapes semi-transparent cedar-tinted stain in very little time. I used a mostly-circular spray pattern to minimize overspray. The only problem is (like all paint/stain equipment) this thing is not ...

the first time worked

It worked good the first time application, but after that it only spurts. I cleaned it 3 times and still nothing.
