Great Tool

Tried this for the first time and it worked wonders!!! Did a third of my fence in 30 minutes. Will finish tomorrow. Minimal overspray, great coating. The reservoir is small but it keeps the tool light. . If there was a way to connect ot a 5 gallon bucket it would be the greatest tool of all time.

Not so good.

“There is a bad one in every bunch.” Well, I must have purchased the bad one. This is my second Wagner Pain Sprayer. The first one is great; absolutely love it. This small upgrade was not the same. Spray nozzle wasn’t so great and spitted and sputtered a lot. Returned it to the store and upgraded to a more powerful sprayer.

OK for a cheap sprayer

I bought this specifically to paint latex on some closet built-ins I was making. Too many nooks and crannies for a brush. The sprayer was strong enough to spray the paint without thinning but it was large droplets coming out. After thinning it - I got a really decent spray pattern. I would buy it again for the occasional spray jobs I need - but this is about all this is good for. Clean up is pretty easy on it. It is virtually all plastic and latex doesn't stick too well to it.

Oil Base Stain Applcation

I just bought this, read the instructions, put it together, and stained my pine fence. (8ft x 70ft) I used Ready Seal Dark Walnut Stain straight from the can. Not one problem! History: Initially bought a $20.00 pump up sprayer to do job. I adapted my air compressor to the pump tank and pressurized to 40psi. Worked like crap...basically a steady stream. I then bought a pump up sprayer 'made' for stain. Same crappy result. Don't waste your time. Then I saw this. It was developed to apply STAIN. ...

Great little sprayer

We had tried one of the air pump sprayers with not good results, just didn't work well at all. This little guy, I'd rather spend the time stopping to do a refill because it works fantastic. No issues whatsoever, does a fantastic job. Sprays evenly and just easy gentle movements in any direction provides great coverage. We used a stain on a wood fence to protect it from the weather, and very happy with the results.

This is easy to use and easy to clean up. We purchased it to stain our fence and it worked perfectly!

The Wagner Opti-Stain Plus Sprayer is easy to assemble, use, and clean. It's only shortcoming is the capacity of the reservoir.

Time saver

I do wish there was more spray control but overall it made my deck staining so much easier. I used flortril’s clear natural stain and it’s came out superb. The steps below are the hardest worn surface and the railings the least. Spray and back brush for fastest two coats! This is our vacation rental cabin Rich Summit View in Boone.

Great sprayer for staining.

I bought this sprayer last night at my local Lowes. I have been using a pump sprayer that never worked. After reading the reviews I decided to try this sprayer. Turns out it was the best decision I ever made. Using it and clean up was perfect. It lives up to all it claims to do!

Worked as advertised. Much quicker than the using the brush method. Reservoir could be a little larger but overall did the job

Wagner Opti-Stain Plus

Works very well for thin coats. With heavy coats you will need to brush out the stain. I used Thompson semi transparent stain to stain and seal my workshop. This sprayer cut the time by over half as opposed to previous years using a pump sprayer. With the pump sprayer there was clogging but not with this electric Wagner sprayer. You will need to fill the container more often. It's lightweight and fun to use. Even my grandson had fun using it.

Not happy at all

I did everything per the book, checking thickness of stain and all. The machine would have a consistent spray and then spit of all over. I have more on me than the object I was straying.
