This is the 4th Wusthof I've purchased to round out my collection. This one definitely has some heft to it, but I wouldn't consider it heavy. More like "substantial" and it feels very balanced in the hand. Like most, I'd gone through the supermarket and big-box store knives only to ultimately be disappointed with their inability to keep a suitable edge.
