Mud Mixer
Would RecommendI bought this mixer for a small batch of drywall compound. It worked well and mixed the material. Had to scrape it a few times to get some dry powder mixes in. only used once so far but more to come.
Good cleaning almost impossible reducing reuse
Would RecommendI use this mixer primarily for batches of thinset mortar & grout for installing backsplashes and small tile repair jobs. Unfortunately, even with a toothbrush, it is virtually impossible to completely clean this mixer. That said, it IS relatively inexpensive so ... I just have to replace it every few jobs and add a percentage of the cost to the equipment allowance for the bid. I keep two (2) on every job; one for the thinset, another for the grout so as not to contaminate one with the other.
Versatile mixer
Would RecommendI mainly use this mixer to mix hot mud in my drywall pan, which is way better than using my drywall knife. It's able to get the mud to a perfect consistency and not have to deal with chunks of dry unmixed powder. Since I wash it in a bucket of water after every use/ mix it stays clean, which allows me to use it to mix paint as well.
