What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise these traps for their exceptional effectiveness, with many reporting multiple catches and reliable performance using peanut butter bait. However, significant frustration centers on recent design changes replacing metal with plastic bait pedals, which reviewers say are harder to set and prone to accidental discharge. Some customers received mismatched versions or experienced inconsistent labeling. Despite these drawbacks, most consider them dependable and effective for rodent control.

Lowes had the plastic wide pedal in place of the metal pedal they showed on line. I have used the metal pedal for close to 30 years and never ever got bit by one, Set this plastic piece of junk got me twice in 3 times trying to set it. it might have broke my thumb.
Please Do Not Purchase
Would Not RecommendApp states trap has a "metal pedal". Wrong! The trap has a worthless yellow plastic "wide pedal".

poor quality control
Would Not RecommendAs other reviewers have noted, the arm bar could not be set under the plastic pedal. On mine, the arm bar end that is supposed to catch on the plastic pedal was rounded and too smooth to catch on the plastic pedal, so I could not set the trap. I tried to bend the end a bit, so that pedal would catch but to no avail. While fidgeting with the arm bar, the bar ultimately broke and so it's now in the trash. I know these are low-cost, but that still shouldn't mean useless.

Cheap Plastic
Would Not Recommend“Terrible product—cheap plastic, awful setup, couldn’t hold either the firm or sensitive settings, and the springs seemed defective; returning it tomorrow.”

Would Not RecommendI ordered traps with metal bait pedals because that is what I wanted and it was listed as such on the app. When I picked up the order I was given plastic bait pedals instead. Apparently the website is wrong and the store doesn't even have the metal ones. very disappointing!

Bye Bye Remy!
Would RecommendYes this trap now has a plastic bait holder, but I think this may be an improvement over the small metal one as it provides a larger surface for peanut butter. Once Remy was released into a garbage, I simply reset the trap as the bait did not need refreshing. (I subtracted one star due to website image not matching item in store.)
Successful in getting rid of rats/ mice but...
Would RecommendDid not experience issues others have had- not tripping, hard to set. Traps set fine and successfully got rats and mice. Unfortunately, the traps came apart after being left out for a couple weeks. The staples holding the spring assembly to the wood plate pulled out (most likely when tripped) and we were left with the trap in pieces (and a dead mouse). They are cheap enough, but I was hoping they'd last longer.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re sorry to hear about the trouble while setting the trap. To help reduce the chance of it snapping unexpec...
