What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise these traps for their exceptional effectiveness, with many reporting multiple catches and reliable performance using peanut butter bait. However, significant frustration centers on recent design changes replacing metal with plastic bait pedals, which reviewers say are harder to set and prone to accidental discharge. Some customers received mismatched versions or experienced inconsistent labeling. Despite these drawbacks, most consider them dependable and effective for rodent control.

Whats wrong with your company??
Would Not RecommendLook at the reviews. Everybody complains about the “bait and switch” on having to buy this plastic pedal vs metal petal trap. Nobody likes them. They don’t work. Why do you have a misleading picture on your website, and why does the manufacturer continue to make the plastic one instead of the metal one? Terrible customer service on both fronts!
YOU WILL NOT GET THE METAL PEDAL
I ordered this product, the metal pedal, for local pick up. I drove acrosss town to find Lowes had filled the order with the "wide pedal". The employee scanned my order and it showed the metal pedal... The explanation by the employee was that Lowes failed to change the product description with inventory number. No offer was made to compensate me for my gas in driving across town because of their lacidaisical online listing practices.

These are NOT the "Metal Pedal" as shown.
The photos and description state "Metal Pedal Rat Trap" meaning the trigger should be made of metal. Photo shows the same. However, when I did my online order for instore pickup they gave me the "plastic pedal". False advertising? Bait and switch? Do not purchase if you're wanting the "metal pedal".

We’re sorry to hear about this experience and understand how frustrating it must be to receive the wrong item. This is not the experience we want for...
You may receive plastic, not metal pedal trap.
Would RecommendI don't like that it's called a metal pedal rat trap and is pictured that way, but this is the second time I was directed to and purchased online and received the one with the yellow plastic cheese pedal. It still will do the job, but I was really hoping to get the metal pedal ones.

Good ole Victor.
It's a timeless rat trap. I like the metal pedal better than the plastic on. I haven't caught anything yet because the critter got away somehow. I person needs to put several down.

PIECE OF JUNK
Would Not RecommendI used to love the metal pedal traps. Lowe's does not sell the metal pedal traps. This advertisement is misleading. The plastic pedal do not work. I almost got my fingers snapped twice while setting one up. This product is junk. Who came up with the bright idea of changing a design so effective? Do not buy this garbage. This is a liability in the making.

DANGER!!!
Lowes had the plastic wide pedal in place of the metal pedal they showed on line. I have used the metal pedal for close to 30 years and never ever got bit by one, Set this plastic piece of junk got me twice in 3 times trying to set it. it might have broke my thumb.
