Horrible Product!!!!

Paint never dries. Finger prints can be left on the paint days after it is applied. Clear coat has a reaction with the paint and crackles. Looks like I'm sanding and starting all over. Paint cans also leak when you shake them. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!

Terrible Product!

I've used this spray paint a couple times because they have really good color options. But its just not worth it to use this product. The nozzle is a mess, the twist top just collects dripping paint so anytime I shook it, it dripped all over my hands or project. The coverage is terrible, and there is no way there is a "primer" in it. I regret not using a primer and my projects just looked cruddy. easier than a brush

Spray painted a wood shoe bench in white gloss. Sanded, primed, then sprayed the lacquer. Spray mist is extremely fine so a lot of the paint floated and hung in the air. Paint dried fast and hard, but after several passes unable to get an even finish. Shoe bench is now in use but the uneven finish is very noticeable. Will try making a few more passes with the spray.

The WORST paint

Valspar paint is the worst paint I have ever used. I will NEVER touch another Valspar product for the rest of my life, even if somebody offered it to me free. Sprays DOTS of paint, impossible to use after 5 or 10 sprays. Drips like MAD. But, if you want to waste time, money and ruin your project - Valspar paint is the paint for you!

I bought this in clear satin to spray over my canvases... It's simple to use, and sprays very, very even.... but I'd like a little more info. 1) Can it be sprayed over dried, acrylic paints? Over chalk to seal? Also, is it 'oil based'?

Good finish, slow drying

The can says to wait five minutes before applying a second coat. After doing so, I found out that this can cause excessively long drying times (as in several days before completely cured). The finish is slightly improved from traditional rattle can paint, but that doesn't really matter if you have to wait days for it to dry.

SLOW drying time

Used this paint on kid's pinewood derby cars; colors are good, but the drying time is horrible. It's been a day and it still tacky. I see someone else here had that problem and it was suggested that they call in for some suggestions to accelrate the drying, well, I did that and the response was to give it more time. 4 days until I have to have these cars finished for the kids and I'm stuck with the decision to strip and start over with another product.

Dreadful sprayer top

I used to love Valspar spray paint, but the new sprayer top is dreadful- you have to grip the can incredibly hard to get enough leverage to push it properly, and it's hard to get a consistent spray. I emptied two cans of paint in a few hours - not an unusual amount for a single project - and my hand and forearm still hurt, two days later. Bring back the old top!

What a great product!

Best spray paint I have ever used. I used it for faded, plastic outdoor shutters. Goes on super smooth, gets in the cracks and inside corners. "360° Technology" enables spraying at any angle. Micro-mist really covers the areas a lot of paints won't get into. Cap is new, but easy to use once you turn it to unlock it. The can won't take an add-on spraying trigger like I use for big projects, but the spray button is easy on the hands so I didn't need it. I would HIGHLY recommend this product.

Applies smooth, dries slo

This paint goes on more even than other sprays, by far. I love that about it. The color is also excellent. But it dries too slowly. The can clearly reads: "Recoat any time." This may be, but it fails to say is if you apply several coats within an hour that it can then take days to dry, which is unacceptable. Hate the spray button top

Whoever designed the spray top on this can should go into another line of work. The description of the Easy Spray top says it has an "effortless fingerpad" and that it sprays from any angle. I used 4 cans for a home project, and every single can was an absolute pain to use. I had to use both hands to get the cans to spray. And it was a huge effort. After 4 cans, my hands ache. purchased 2 cans to paint metal tractor hood. after third coat dried formed like a crackle effect.

confused

I put 2 coats of this paint on my kitchenaid stand mixer and it came out great! Very glossy. But then I put on a 3rd coat and half way thru had to use a new can. Things went down hill from there. It went on dull and spotty. It was dry when I started the 3rd coat. any suggestions on getting the gloss back??

Inconsistent

I use spray paint often, and I use many different brands. I decided to use Valspar on one of my recent projects due to their color selection. (No other brand can compete with their color selection.) The BEST!

I have my own repurposing & refinishing primitive craft business. I have used different spray paints and have found Valspar to be the BEST. I never use any other spray paint now that I have found Valspar. Valspar has the best coverage. The choice of colors is by far the greatest. This girl will NEVER use anything but Valspar paints.

Dreadfully let down.

I'm not a newbie to spray painting all sorts of projects and know how to prep various surfaces. My vintage sewing machine table with matching stool project was deglossed, 100% dried, lightly sanded, wiped and ready to accept paint. Dreadfully let down with this spray paint. When sprayed this paint, floats in the air then drops to the floor somehow managing to avoid coating the intended project. Seriously, at least half the (4 cans so far) mist to the floor. Easey Peasy Spray

I used this to redo my bathroom etagere - it was so easy, went on smooth, and has great coverage. It only took one coat, no dripping or mess!! - love it!
