Amazing Finish

I bought valspar spray paint to use on a metal shelf and it turned out amazing. I used it about a year ago and the shelf still looks like as new as it did when i bought it. The paint has really held good to the metal. It doesn't chip like some spray paints do. I would recommend it for all of those DIY projects.

I use this product all the time ,When I want to change the color of something in my house . I love it it , it's fast , easy , and makes whatever I paint look new again .

radiant colors

I love all valspar paints.the radiant colors are beautiful.I used the spray paint on some outdoor furniture. They look great now.

Amazing

I purchased a couple cans to paint various objects to match my accent wall colours and it was spot on and made everything in my rooms pop and bring together my design.

Never dries!

Bought several cans of this to finish a benchrest rifle stock. Filled and sanded the wood: 80 grit, 180 grit, 400 grit, and finished with 600 grit, sprayed two coats of Valspar primer, four coats of Valspar paint, and finished with two coats of Valspar clear. I waited at least 48 hours and up to 7 days between each coat and then wet-sanded with 600 grit and let dry overnight before spraying the next coat. Painted 2 cars with

I painted two cars with this. The satin hides patchiness better while the gloss is quite shiny but patchy. The paint on both cars was miserable, and it looks better now.

Worked great!

We used this product to freshen up a few things around the house. Loved it!

Valspar Decorator Spray

Purchased 4 cans of the white decorator spray to finish a wood display cabinet before assembly and to provide a more professional finished project. The wood was cut, predrilled, routed as necessary and cleaned for refinishing. Two coats of Valspar primer was applied to seal the wood and promote adhesion of the top coat. Normally I would expect to start to topcoat in a couple of hours but checking the condition of the primer - not dry even though the label indicates dry to the touch in 1 hr. Okay...

Splotchy finish

I bought the satin Encounter light blue to re-do a garage sale bedroom set for my daughter. I heard spray paint was a fast inexpensive way to go. I sanded all the finish off and used the paint+primer (I didn't prime separately because the label clearly said primer was included). This paint went on horrible! Even coverage great color

I used this on a project last year and the color was great. The spray was even. The button was just kind of hard to keep pressed down for a long period of time.

Great color, SLOW drying!

I sure wish I had read the reviews here before I decided to buy this paint. I bought some of the glossy pink for a model kit I am working on, and I was very happy with the color when I tested it a few days beforehand. I spent a lot of time sanding the model down and cleaning it, but I trusted the label in assuming that I didn't need primer. Clear satin 85059

The coating itself is great but the spray cap or the propellant causes the product to spit and splatter. Very annoying and of course super frustrating after spending time prepping the surface to perfection to have the dang spray bomb puking & spitting chunks. And not just a few but every dang one does it and some are horrendous. Only writing a review to help you guys sort this problem out.

A good time-saver !

An excellent, easy to use paint with very good covering properties. We sprayed a plastic corner shelf unit which would have been very awkward to do a thorough prep job on, and the results were surprisingly good. It saved us a lot of time and trouble.

Valspar clear sprays

I have had 3 now that just stop spraying after not much use, I think it is something to do with the safety system on lid.

It's decent

On coverage I give it 7 out of 10. Had to make a few too many passes. Drying time 5/10. There are other spray paints out there that take longer to dry than this one. And some, dry faster for about the same price. Oh BTW your red colors are fantastically vibrant. Good job. 10/10 on the color itself. I found this to be true with Valspar interior paints, too.

Awful Spray Top

By the time I was done painting my project, my finger and hand was cramping. The push button was way to hard to push.

My poor finger!

I usually use a different brand & decided to try Valspar. When I got home, I realized the "Special" spray nozzle would not work with the clip-on trigger handle I use on regular spray cans. The paint went on fine, but my finger started hurting halfway through the can. Did anyone test this type of sprayer for more than a few seconds? I will never buy a spray can with this type of nozzle again!

Does this stuff ever dry?

I won't use this paint again. I spent a lot of valuable time to strip, sand, prime (with Valspar primer) and paint the highchair my wife used as a child for our 2 year old. It came out looking great, but after 4 days of curing (and dry to the touch), the finish was ruined when my son sat in it for the first time. I should have read the other reviews before using this paint. I've used other brands of spray enamel on a number of projects and I have NEVER experienced spray paint that refused to dry...

Faulty Can & Product

This paint does not cover well unless spraying from a close distance which runs the risk of drips and puddling. Further, a can does not provide adequate coverage. I am on my 4th can for a small dress. The 5th can was defective. I believe the paint separated in the can and thus ruined a days worth of prep and paint work. I will finish the project but never using Valspar premium again.
