Wow!!!!

We just got done having 2 14” Sun tunnels in our house. The living room was “land locked”, no windows. We now keep thinking we have left a light on.

Great Natural Light

We installed a Sun Tunnel 15 years ago when no one knew what they were! We were removing a window from a bathroom and I wanted natural light! It’s still perfect, but I see the night light, and different diffuser patterns and am extremely interested in those. I would install all over again if I were doing project now. Saw them a few months ago not realizing that had been in obscurity for so long!!! Thanks Venus!

sun tunnel rating

We have install 2 sun tunnels, and waiting to install the 3rd. They are the rigid pitched 14" unit. I can understand if ours are hurricane rated. the 2 installed have been through 3 hurricanes with no problem. Are they hurricane rated?? The TMZ roof mount is our next approach which are flat. I wish I would have known this before I bought the here in florida HELP

Good light but need to darken rooms bit

Happy with the skylight. Soar tube 14 inches. Is there a way to darken the light for early morning sleep. Thank you

Love the light!

I installed 3 rigid sun tunnels in my mid century modern house. One in the walk-in closet and two in the master bathroom. We don't turn the lights on in the house till the sun sets. I highly recommend.

Lots of insects

I have had two of the skylights installed in my den but after a couple of years I noticed lots of dead insects laying on the diffuser. Apparently they are not sealed well enough and small insects get in them and eventually die on the diffuser. Very unsightly! The installation manual does not show how to remove the diffuser so I can clean it. Please give me some guidance.

Fantastic

I specified a solar tube style skylight to be added to my main bathroom which has no natural light (no window) and was always dark until a light was turned on. This 10" Velux is amazingly bright on sunny days and does well on overcast days. This photo is from an overcast day and still lights the room. It also does not collect moisture when showering but I do have an exhaust fan with light but the mirror will fog even with the fan on.

Let there be light

I was a little skeptical when our roofer suggested it but OmG , it saved money in the long run. Almost never having to turn lights on walking down long hall, and all the natural light was amazing. Ended up adding three total and the laundry one was my favorite. If your adding a new roof, they’re a must. Thank you.

Lens and fastener problems

Had sun tubes up for multiple years and lenses have become very cloudy and crazed. Screws holding the lens on, rusted.

Rechargeable batteries not Impressive

We had two rigid Velux sun tunnels installed in February. The interior work took a couple more months and the batteries were installed in one sun tunnel in May and the second sun tunnel in late October. The sun tunnels provided great light during the evening but the batteries in both sun tunnels failed by mid November. Very unsatisfied with this. The ceiling is 14’ high and having to change out with new batteries so soon is not what we expected.

14 tunnels in! And a question...

Ok, I have gone sun tunnel crazy! Have an unusually large single floor house and have put in 14 sun tunnels with 6 or 7 to go. Am in love with the light! One thing is driving me crazy...it is extremely difficult to get the clear ceiling covers off before install, then back n after install. I see that there a seal and it seems to make the covers impossible to get on. Any tips or tricks? I'm killing my grip and am on high ladders for some (not great footing). Sun Tunnel Skylight are Great

We had Three 10 inch VELUX Sun Tunnel Skylight installed on Monday 10/19/20, one in the kitchen, two in the living room. They have truly added light to the rooms which was a great improvement for the area.

amazing light in our rooms but have concerns

brightens up our kitchen and bathrooms but now that it is getting colder outside all 3 have major condensation build up inside the dome. I can see in the near future that there will be a problem of water leaking through the ceiling. not at all happy with the install.

Beware

We had two installed in living area and it is like a fluorescent light. Much too harsh for a living area. I would recommend for a laundry room or work area only. The company does not offer tinted diffusers so we place tissue paper over the diffuser to soften that harsh fluorescent light. Now the diffusers are warped and the cover rings don’t fit properly.

I just moved into a home that has two solar tubes

I think they are wonderful, however can someone please tell me where I can buy a shade cover for them? Thank you in advance Ken

Installed four Sun Tunnels

We just replaced three old sun tunnels that were installed prior to us moving into our home over 20 years ago (two 14 inch flexible tunnels in the living room and one 10 inch rigid tunnel in the guest bathroom with 24 inch extension). Love my Sun Tunnel

When I was replacing roofs, I purchased a total of 4 of these for 2 of my houses. The roofers did the roof part and I installed the inside myself. Great Light but how do i remove debris from tube

I've had great experiences with your product but I now have debris in the tube and I have a very simplified that shows how to remove the "beauty ring" but not the difuser.
