Would Not RecommendI purchased this thinking that it would be great in a closet with a pull chain. And it worked if you like waving your hand 2 feet from the light.
Doesn't Work - Order First Alert ones instead.
Would Not RecommendI hadn't seen the reviews on this product before I bought it but wish I would have. It simply doesn't work; you must put your hand an inch from the sensor to make it come on (and that didn't always work). And I had bought 2 of these for our garage (9 foot ceilings), so I doubt it is a fluke they both were the same. So, I took these back to Lowes (love their return policy....so easy) and ordered PIR725 sockets online instead. The PIR725 sockets work like a champ. When I open the door (into the ...
360 degrees of nothing...
Would Not RecommendComplete waste of time, product cost over $24.00 and doesn't work--- detects motion 2-3 inches only, not 20 feet.
Should have read before buying
Would Not RecommendThis product is awful. As the other reviews indicate, this product simply doesn't work! Don't waste your time.
Don't Bother
Would Not RecommendI purchased this for a closet ceiling socket. It doesn't work at all. I had to stand on a ladder and wave my hand approximately 6 inches from the motion dectector for it to work. I tried it in 2 different walk in closets and it didn't work in either. Unless you are over 7 feet tall or your socket is 4-5 feet off of the ground don't even consider trying to use it in a ceiling socket. I am returning this to Lowe's.
Simply Does Not Work
Would Not RecommendAs almost all other reviews say, this item does not work. If you buy it, be careful opening the package and don't throw it away untli you have confirmed it works. I have lots of experince with motion controled lighting and home automation. This is a piece of junk.
Don't waste time or $$$$
Would Not RecommendTried this product with both a CFL and incandescent bulb and it did not work with either. When I contacted customer service, they do not recommend CFL but the packaging clearly says it works with CFL. I exchanged my original unit and the second one did not work as well as the first. So this goes back to Lowe's too.
Functional, if slightly erratic
Would RecommendI have two of these for the garage so that we don't need to turn the lights on and off. They mostly work as advertised. They face out to detect the garage door opening/car driving in and face in to the garage from the house. They have been installed for about a year, and almost always turn the light bulbs on as expected. The three detectors allow this unit to work well, sensing motion from multiple directions.
Does not work!
Would Not RecommendDo not waste your money! Did not work. Return it and and bought a new one. Still did not work.
does not work
Would Not RecommendThis producy works sporadically. Most of the time the light does not go off at all even after several hours, when its supposed to be ten minutes
