Would RecommendMy house is elevated with the garage underneath. I have about 7 of these lights to use for lighting my garage and they work great. The last ones lasted 10 years and with the cost they are very simple to replace. Just unhook the old one and hook the new one and plug it in. Great light.

Would Not RecommendThis is the cheapest shop light on the market - and you get what you pay for. I had expected it to be the conventional style where the center section which encloses the ballast just pops out of the slots with spring tension when squeezed. Not so. Some engineer figured they could make it cheaper by screwing the center cover on with three tiny sheet metal screws. This seems like no big deal UNTIL you try to solid mount it to the ceiling joists.
