Hard to program, awful instructions, can't see

I absolutely hate this thing. It is hard to program, the instructions are difficult to follow, and the readout on the display screen is so tiny I can't read it even with my glasses on. My professional holiday lighting installers use this and every year I have to get them to come back and reprogram the unit. It will come on/go off at random times despite the setting and is a complicated mess to operate.It's been replaced once due to malfunction. I"m going to ask them if I can provide my own timer...

Defective out of the box

You may ask yourself...Why is this $1.04? The answer is as obvious as communism. It was designed to fail. The display has missing digits and if by some miracle you program the time, it won’t stay programmed. Don’t waste your time on this...or communism.

I really like this timer!

I have had it for several years and everyday it turns a fan on and off in a greenhouse. I have it in the vertical position and about five feet off the ground (as instructions say) and surrounded by a plastic bag (because it can be wet in the greenhouse). Works great! A little tough to program but with patience I got it to do what I want it to. A great buy!!

It works

It took a couple of tries to get it programmed correctly. I finally had to resort to actually reading the directions, which did help a lot.

Works great, as described. Easy to use. Used it for about a month, over the holidays, for external lighting. No problem at all.

Easy to use

This is just what I needed. I needed something to fit in the box outlet outdoors and easy to program. It's heavy duty and I like that there are so many program options that are easy to switch through. It was dark and rainy on Christmas eve, so I just wanted to leave the lights on all day. It was an easy switch to the On mode, and then a day or two later I switched it back to the program mode with the times that I wanted.

Timer

It is not the easiest thing to program but does work as it shourld once you get it programmed. I keep the instructions safe to reuse each Halloween and Christmas.

Didn't work out of the box

We have two of these already, which work great. Two new ones set and programmed identically did not work. Tech support can only help walk you through the instructions, not troubleshoot. Returned both and found another brand.

POOR TO 0 INSTRUCTIONS LEAD ME TO 0NE GUY WHO TRIED TO EXPLAIN HOW TO SET IT UP AND FINIALLY ADMITTED HE HAD BEEN LESS THAN SUCESSIFUL. THERES LOTS OF BETTER PRODUCTS WITH EASIER SET UPS OUT THERE. I THREW IT OUT.

Just what I needed

I needed a light activated timer for my Christmas lights outside and this one fit the bill!!!

Very reliable and durable. Have a couple of them and they have lasted for quite a few years.

Unnecessarily complicated

We never could get the dusk-to-dawn to work. So we just set it to come on and go off at a certain time. It is complicated. I know many folks may snicker at that - how complicated can it be? Overly complicated. Way too many options. If you lose the directions for the next year this thing is toast.

Didn't work

I bought 40 for work and many of them don't even work out of the box. Ridiculous
