Does not perform as advertised

Packaging claims it detects motion up to 70 feet away, but I have it set on high sensitivity and it does not switch on until I approach within 10-15 feet. Totally inadequate, or else I got a defective product.

Works best with non-dimmable LED lights for me.

Ability to use with LED floodlights. One GE Classic dimmable LED floodlight functioned as expected. However when using 2 GE Classic dimmable LED lights with one unit, 1 LED light would begin to flicker. Switching lamps caused the other LED to flicker. Using 2 GE Basic non-dimmable LED bulbs with one unit seems to function appropriately without the Dusk-To-Dawn dimming feature (which I was not planning to use). I will try a different dimmable LED model or brand in the future to see if Dusk-To-Daw...

Good value

Good value works great. So what if it's made in China. Easy to install, but don't mix up the wiring

Motion Sensor

This sensor is complicated and it didnt work for me. It kept turning on during the day which makes no sense for me. I ended up getting a simple one that works perfect.

Poor quality, don’t bother

I now need a third unit in under a year! But I’m not buying Utilitech or at Lowe’s. I’m done, and will go to pro electrical supply store, as the this cheaply made unit has cost me hundreds. Maybe more if I had to hire and electrician. After installing a new outdoor light with some underground wiring, and spending time double and triple checked everything when the first one didn’t work. Positioning was poor…

The mounting arm doesn’t allow for adequate articulation for positioning the sensor!

My Heath Zenith sensor dry rotted a second time. Mine each last about 8 years in Texas. I cannot find another one in bronze/brown or the same bronze/brown fixture. I purchased the Utilitech replacement sensor and attempted to install it. This sensor only adjusts up and down so tightening it to be straight with the housing resulted in breaking at the arm. Flickering motion sensor

The lights are flickering badly. Only good for x-mas light only i guess. Returned

Short Lived

It worked great for 9 months then just died! I am not happy with this sensor as it wasn't the least expensive and didn't make it to the 1 year mark - which still would have sucked!

This product has problems.

Product fails more often than it works. I've replaced most of them at least once soon after installation. They work briefly and then fail. Im guessing it's the switch inside because often you can see the blue PIR go on but the light attached does not come on.

Garbage

I have fought 3 of these sensors way to long now. Only work in test mode. Motion part never works properly. I have to replace these with a different brand now.thanks for wasting my time and money Utilitech

Motion sensor replacement

Works great saved me from buying a new light. Easy to repair.

Died after one day

This sensor worked great on the first night that I installed it. I tested all the features and I was pleased. But the next night it was totally dead. The lights didn't turn on, and the internal blue light stopped blinking.

Solid housing and easy to wire in. I am an electrician though. Good price also.

Low power/High power

I like the combination photo/motion sensor. The lights will go on at dusk at low power (plenty for continual night-time security) which results in saving energy and costs, until it detects a motion, then will go on full brightness. Perfect for patios and walkways when people are out and when they come inside. You can set the timer for 1 – 10 mins. This is replacing the same sensor of three years.
