Excellent fix for a china cabinet problem. In-cabinet lighting with halogen bulbs and touch dimming failed. The LED Strip Light was easy to install along the inside of the cabinet top and looks great along with the dimming capability.

controllers work for about two weeks

The controller worked great for about two weeks and now has stopped working. The first set had the same problem. When I called the manufacturer, I was told to return the light set. I exchanged it instead and not this controller has quit working too. I will take the manufacturer's advice and return this set to Lowes, and look elsewhere for my light set.

Great product for the price

We used this product in a bagel display case in a local bagel shop. It is perfect for lighting a huge box (100”X30”X54”)

Hospital white!

Disapointed in this mainly for the fact that the pictured lights have an amber tone and what I have it operating room white... Pros- easy to install, dimmer included. Cons- Bright white that goes with nothing

BUYER BEWARE - they did a model change

They did a model change around April 2018 that made the product significantly worse and is no longer as described. The product used to be a strip with 3M adhesive that had various cut points and connectors to make the product far more flexible and usable (also the plug was white). The new product is now sheathed in a weird rubbery thing, cannot be recut, has no connectors, and now uses mounting brackets instead of the adhesive tape (and now the plug is black). Lights are nice. Hanging equipment sucks

The lights do exactly what they are supposed to do and they are nice. However, the crappy rubber mounts they send with the product are unreal to work with, specifically if you're trying to hang them under cabinets. Floppy and useless.

Bought Two, Returned Two.

Bought one and large sections of the strip did not light. Returned it for another and it did the same thing. The first strip fell off hours after it was installed. Yes I did clean the area where it was installed and I wiped it down again with rubbing alcohol before I installed it. Found a better one on line. It was less expensive and I had no problems with it.

Not a Bar Light

I was hoping to use this in place of the florescent bar light. It's not bright enough. I would work great for under/over cabinet accent lighting, but not workspace lighting. There aren't any jumpers or connectors included with this. If you cut it, you'll need to find connectors from another source. The connectors aren't available in store either.

Super brite

Got this to hang for lighting in my closet and it’s perfect. For the first time I can see every inch in there! No more missing left boot!

Utility strip light not recommended

Light strip is OK, the issue is the controller is very poor quality. When you can get it to work the leds still not steady. I have another controller that controls the strip with no problems. That controller is twice as thick, better buttons all around better quality. Unless they change the controller don't buy it.

Bright and easy

Easy to install. However, manufacturer skimps on directions, especially how and where to cut ribbon tape. Need to go to web site.

Plug-in is getting very hot

This is my second LED strip that stops to work after the few hours plug is getting very hot

Works like a charm

We have a TV cabinet that has shelves with glass inserts on the top row. It was dark so could not see our decorative items. Tried the battery lights. They worked but the batteries ran diwn rapidly. 5 lights with 3 triple A batteries each was too expensive. No longer have receipt from Lowes or woukd have returned the darn things. LED Tape Lights

Good product. I used this for under cabinet lighting alternative. However it does not stick well, so I had to reapply with super glue. Works fine now. I have it connected to a Lutron remote control switch and lights flicker in the off position every 8 seconds but not noticeable..

Terrible! Deserve a 0 rating!

Adhesive doesn't stick under the cabinet at all and flimsy plastic support broke during installing, once the flimsy plastic supports in place the light strip wouldn't adhere to cabinet. Total waste of $40 for this product. Tried to take a picture but it wouldn't even stay up long enough for a snap shot.

Nice quality and lighting effect

We put this in our bedroom on top of some European clothing closets we brought with us from Germany. The lighting effect is very nice. Easy set up.

Utilitech 196.8-in Plug-in Under Cabinet LED Strip

I purchased 5 of these units - and have had THREE (3) of the control (electric eye) sensors go out. I have two units in my truck destined for Lowes this week - and hopefully, I can just get one control sensor in return so the third installation will work. I know it is the control sensor because the two units that DID work - when I exchanged the control sensor with my third set of lights, DID WORK! works great with some adjustment

I wanted lighting in and above my built in bookcases but was completely baffled by all the products on the market. The 8' strip lights with the dimmer switch works great with only complaint. They are still very bright and the light is a little harsh even on the lowest setting. I can see for a kitchen how they would be perfect, but for my needs, I was not happy. good product....with an exception

I bought this LED strip about 4 months ago and just installed it now. Why? Because the power supply was defective and didn't work at all. I lost my receipt, and instead of finding it, I found another power supply in my garage that worked these lights. What are the chances? (Well, if you're a geek like me, they're pretty good!) So anyway, I installed them tonight and they look great. Nice and bright and lots of sticky backing so they'll stick any way you want to put them.
