What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this tool for safely replacing bulbs in high or hard-to-reach fixtures without ladders, especially in vaulted ceilings, stairwells, and ceiling fans. Most report strong satisfaction and would recommend it. However, a notable group experiences grip reliability issues—the bulb holder unscrews, suction cups detach prematurely, or grippers slip on plastic bulbs, prompting some to add modifications like duct tape. While attachments like the broken bulb remover are appreciated, inconsistent performance remains a significant concern for roughly one-fifth of reviewers.

Would RecommendUseful for all the overhead recessed lights I have in my new house. Not ideal for broken CFL lights but gets the job done for everything else.
Kinda useless, needs improvement
Would Not RecommendThe twist and lock pole is the problem. The twist to unlock is in the same direction as unscrewing a light bulb. So, as you try to remove a bulb any resistance loosens the pole and the light bulb stays. It needs a locking mechanism that doesn't rely on twisting the pole. I used Gorilla tape to keep the pole from twisting. Not worth the $20 or so. I have 6 lights, so I'll use this exactly 6 times.

Incredibly easy - it's a life saver!
Would RecommendThis makes changing pot lights in difficult places safe and easy. I was able to avoid setting up tall ladders and leaning over a deep stairwell.
Waiting
Would RecommendI had to wait awhile at counter for service.
Worked for me.
Would RecommendI did not feel like getting on a ladder to change some recesses lighting bulbs. I used the suction cup attachment to unscrew the burnt out light bulb and replace with a new one. It took longer to get the package open and set up then actually change the bulb. It worked for me and will be using for the bulbs in my high ceiling.
"Well Designed and Functional"
Would RecommendMy old bulb grabber was shot, so this was its replacement. I like the light weight, good extended range, and how easy it is to lock and release. The assortment of baskets handles 5-6 bulb types and sizes, even broken ones. I especially like the brush attachment. There's no point in removing a burned out bulb, if you have to install the new bulb in a dirty socket full of stuck on dead bugs.
worthless as a wet paper sack holding gold bars
Would Not Recommend1. It has rubber grips to help hold the bulb that quickly broke off 2. After you finally are able to grip the bulb and twist, the pole comes loose, lol. Resulting in the pole coming apart. shame on Lowes for having this product on their shelves. If I could, I could give negative stars I would not recommend this to my friends. I wouldn't recommend it to my enemies. That would be morally wrong.
Cheap plastic threading doesn't work
Would Not Recommendfortunately the standard bulb changer has threading for the thumb screw that actually allows the screw to tighten, though who knows for how long. the broken bulb changer couldn't be tightened on at all - the thumb screw goes in and then just spins around, and no matter how many times you turn it the attachment just comes right off when you try to unscrew it. if you try to pre tighten the thumb screw a little, the attachment can't go on at all. frustrating. i can still use the standard changer so...
Would give a Zero star review if possible
Would Not RecommendDO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT! The little spring broke the first time we tried to use it. Then, we tried to use the suction cup. It also did not work. Wouldn't "stick" to the light bulb. I usually have no problems with my purchases at Lowe's, but this product is definitely a dud.
DOES NOT WORK!
Would Not RecommendYou cannot replace a bulb as the little medal screw near the top of the pole does NOT tighten the prongs around the light bulb to hold it still. Therefore, you CANNOT fit a bulb into its socket because the tool does NOT hold the bulb still. A complete waste of money!!!
Too much and too little
Would Not RecommendBought it three years ago. After just a few uses the soft plastic has split and the set screw doesn't hold the cage firmly. Got out the ladder. The smaller cage holds the bulb so tightly the cannister came plumb out of the ceiling. Got out the ladder. I see it now comes with a fan brush so maybe it's redesigned, but you won't know until it fail for you.
I'm impressed
Would RecommendI needed to replace a recessed flood light in my stairway that was really high up. This tool made it a piece of cake. I'm impressed!!
Lowe's Curbside Pickup Service
Would RecommendVery pleased with fast and response once parked and orders are always correct. Associates are kind and courteous.
Excellent product for changing lights.
Would RecommendExactly as described. Shipped and arrived quickly. Comes with various attachments that can be used for many household tasks.
Broke first use
Would Not RecommendThe bulb basket broke on first use. I wouldn't recommend this product for outdoor flood lights. It is flimsy and poorly made.
Good value
Would RecommendThe sturdy metal bar is a great length. It was easy to remove and install different sized bulbs even in tight spaced fixtures. The bulbs fit snuggly and release without any issue. The duster/fan cleaner is a nice extra.
