Great for permanent extension chords

Ease of installation and sealing off to protect from the weather getting in the receptacle. A bit expensive, so you be the judge for the use of this cover. If you are using it as an extension and in rainy areas. A good idea. It's the best for today's electrical codes, if that is how you want to be compared to the old flip covers.

Works great

Works great for what we needed it for. We needed an exterior outlet for our new fiber internet carrier and this did the trick.

Outdoor outlet cover that makes sense

You can use all or part of it. It has removable tabs to allow you to run a cord out the bottom or side. The cover opens upward which doesn’t work for me but fortunately you can adjust it to open to the side. I didn’t need the back outlet enclosure since I already had one and it still connected nicely to the existing one. Perfect for when you want to plug in xmas lights and have confidence that it’s safe even while raining.

Great for using outlets exposed to weather.

You can leave extension cords plugged in to these outlets without fear of rain shorting the circuit.

The only thing needed besides this kit is some silicon sealant for the box plugs and connector. A good value indeed.
