Repellant and trap seem to be ok, gel bait no.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used the repellant spray before, seems to work pretty well. The trap looks pretty good, but I haven't gotten anything with it yet. However, I'm not sure if it's the trap itself or the gel bait that goes with it. We have a drawer in the kitchen that we call the mouse drawer. It has the trash and recycle bins directly underneath it, so mice are attracted to that area. We'll usually catch one or two a month in there with a standard snap trap....

bad batch of plastic? cannot withstand stress

The plastic circle which holds the axle snapped when the trap was triggered, but nothing was caught. The second trap spontaneously busted: I was in the other room & heard the sound of plastic impact. It was NOT set. The plastic axle ends broke off. I have photos; this web page will not allow me to add.

Critter Control

Best mouse trap on the market!

I typically catch my mouse within four hours of setting the trap. I once caught my mouse in fifteen minutes! I use the peanut butter from peanut butter and cracker sandwiches.

Talk About Murder Hornets, This is Murder Mice

I just bought these traps as a first time buyer and thought I would give them a try. I placed the trap baited with peanut butter and a small piece of cheese in my pantry and in less than an hour, BINGO!! it got the mouse. I reloaded and placed again and down went another mouse. I caught 3 mice total on the same trap. It may be disposable to some and I can understand but I will keep using it until it fails. Better than Victor Traps

Great product. I have been using these over Victor traps because I find that they are safer when setting them. You can not accidently set it off on your finger which hurts like there is no tomorrow. These you bate pull down the back handle place and away you go. Once that mouse is caught it is easy to depose of and than you just reset the trap again.

Great trap with one design flaw

I really like the trap but there's one defect. If the trap goes off by accident with no mouse in it, the clip that locks the jaws open breaks. I was going to post a picture of a good one and the bad one but it won't let me.

Unlike the Victory traps the Tom Cat Press and Set traps cannot be used a second or third time

Great product that works every time

I bought a 2 pack of these traps and put them in my shed about a year or 2 ago and bait them with peanut butter. I’m on the same 2 traps and about 15 mice later they are still both working like they are brand new. Best mouse trap I ever used. I never write reviews but this is one I had to compliment. Reliable Trap

Ive been using these traps for several years and have been very pleased with the results. Easy to bait, fast trigger for clean, swift and I believe humane death, for the mice that find their way I to my house.

Very unhappy with Press n set mouse traps.

I have purchased 20-25 of these traps over the years and every time i catch a mouse the trap never works again. Why can't ya'll fix this problem and make a lot of your customers happy again? I can't afford to keep buying these traps and they have just about doubled in price. I know i'm not the only person having this problem.

Trap Holding Hook Failed After Small Multiple Use

The hook that holds the trap open poorly designed and failed to hook after a few uses, just slide off.

Quality has degraded exponentially

I use these often in clients houses. They used to be MUCH better quality. The new ones break at the pivot, even if it’s not tripped. The tray retainers break after one use, if the pivots don’t break first. I used to recommend them to anyone with a mouse problem. I am now having to search for new traps

Not a better mouse trap

Trap broke after two weeks. Will not stay open. TomKat has guarantee but no address where to send it. Website for guarantee does not work. Worked once well but not after,. I am not buying any more.

Works Evertime.

Used 4, caught 4 mice. Really flattens them. Did not try to reuse. The other traps I used let mice escape about half the time. The black ones did not work as well, mouse dragged it off somewhere. The one were you don’t see the mouse have not caught anything.

Sort life span

Use for about month caught 2 mice trapped 1 by tail and it escaped . Tonight 1 trap just blew apart on its own

Short life span.

Stopped tripping after two years. Cleaned them out throughly still would not trip. Date code 21085C.

Great and Effective....but very short useful life.

Only works a couple times before the kill function will no longer snap down. Bait will disappear every night as the trigger no longer works.
