Speed square is a VERY handy tool.

I don't do roofing frames, but a speed square is handy as all get out for squaring on the bench and even as a level. Good tool !!

Exceptional!!

I had a plastic version and with my old eyes I struggled to see the exact measurements. This metal tool from Swanson is truly user friendly, quality and exceptional! Definitely worth the purchase!!

The Perfect Square

Every good tool kit needs a Square to do everything you need to do. I unfortunately only realized this later on in my life! This one tool allowed for perfect staight lines, perfect angles, and a terrific guide to cut long straight boards while sliding down the board.

Swanson Speed Square

Excellent, solid, something that will give you years of use. Should work well for homeowners and commercial useage.

Great for general use

I'm using this to draw lines and markers on ceramics, it's not quite heavy duty enough unless I strap it to the table. All in all, a good tool, though!

Must have speed square

This speed square is a must half I have. They last a long time and the numbers are easy to read off one of the best squares I’ve bought I’ve purchased many over the years and they continue to amaze me their strength. Although there are new Models coming out I hope they stock on the new models.

This is a must have tool. It's priceless. I usually have two or three around the house since my son constantly leaves me in a lurch by keeping my speed square with his tools or near the project he is working on.

Swanson speed square

Purchased this to replace one that was made out of plastic and deteriorated over time. Looking for a metal one and came across this square. This is exactly what I needed. I do not have to worry about incorrect cuts...

Handy square, even if you don't do roofs

I use this in situations where I had previously used a combination square. Being one piece, I figure it's dead accurate. The flange fits easily against wood stock and the markings are easy to read. Very handy. The angles and roof pitch calculations are of no importance to me, but they don't hurt anything.
