What Customers Are Saying
The manual log splitter is effective for splitting smaller logs and firewood, with customers praising its portability and value compared to motorized options. However, some users report issues with its limited power and durability, leading to difficulties with harder woods or larger logs. The overall consensus is that this splitter works well for light-duty use, but may not be suitable for heavy-duty or frequent splitting tasks.

Would Not Recommendit didn’t work. It had no power you couldn’t split no wood with this. You could split more wood with a hatchet

Better than I thought.
This has blown away many expectations. Split way more wood than if I split with a maul. I did blow a gasket so now only have 1 arm that works. Need to find a way to fix the gasket, which is why I'm on the website now. But cannot seem to find the help I need. Bought it several years ago now. Way past the warranty date. The pic shows the large pile before it was split. I split 90% of it in about 6 hours.

Perfect for remote off grid, snowmobile solution
Works great! Kids can even use it. It is a slower process than a powered splitter, but it makes up for it in portability and cost. Was easily handling 18-22in rounds of Poplar.

Easy to use, well designed and manufactured
So far have split 12 inch diameter birch, with knots, with impressive results. Working with the 2 speed/ power settings and the return valve becomes very easy. Actually more productive than expected and not a strain on the body. I could quietly split wood late in the evening and early mornings. A small improvement in stabilising the tool would be installing a small removable metal cross-plate at the base below the two handles.

SnowJoe 10 ton log splitter.
The SnowJoe 10 ton wood splitter works exactly as described. Very solidly constructed. I highly recommend it.

Better than an Electric or Gas powered splitter
All the positive reviews that I read before buying the SunJoe 10 ton log splitter were spot on. I love it! It is easy to work with and much safer than an Electric or Gas powered splitter as you are 100% in control of the movement of the splitting wedge. I also like the upper body exercise I get, but I not so happy with having to bend down picking up the wood after every cut... but that's the same with most Electric or Gas powered splitters. And this is the perfect product for those 'Preppers...

No support from SunJoe
Worked great for the 5 or so years I've owned it. Started leaking oil a couple of years ago. Today I called the customer service line. Terrible, after a long (14 min) wait, could not understand half of what she said. Then she told me they could not help me trouble shoot, and didn't have any parts for it. I should find a local shop to repair it. The website would not look up parts for it. But I see the same LJ10M splitter is still being sold!!!! Very disappointed in SunJoe.

Needed it to split some logs that were cut to large.......

Dimensions seem off, struggles with hard wood
I'm 6'1" and the handles were too short. My back was killing me after a while from being bent over to work them. I'll need to get this thing up on a stand next time. Also for me splitting ash wood I cut up from fallen limbs, if the diameter of the log was wide enough to keep it from rolling around in the brackets, it was too hard for this splitter to handle well. If it was smaller, it would split fine but it was hard to keep it in place since it rolled around on the track. Also seems stran...

Annoying to use.
Would RecommendThere are better options out there, and using this thing is very annoying. It is a slow process however if you do buy one, split the wood first with a Maul or Hatchet then you can use this to make kindle or smaller pieces but like I said there are cheaper, better, and faster alternatives out there. Do I regret buying this thing? Not really, but if I knew then what I know now I would have kept looking. Splitting wood is a Grown Man's sport and requires hard work, this log splitter will not replac...

2 Year Warranty
Would RecommendI have to agree with most of the other posts here - it has been great. But... as of a couple weeks ago, the 2 year warranty has expired. As of last weekend, the "fast" side has stopped working. Conveniently I happen to work across the street from a hydraulic company and I believe they can fix it as they have isolated the problem to inside the base of the ram.
Easier than a sledge
Would RecommendThe first log I tried was a big green one (pictures) and the Sun Joe log splitter chomped it very well. However, since it would be easier on the unit if I let my freshly cut wood dry for a season, I loaned it to my brother in-law and he did a number on a pile of wood he had. I cut my wood shorter than some people and the piston only drives so far, so I used a shim to easily extend the reach of the piston. The is a heck of a lot easier than swinging a sledge into a wedge.
