Would Not RecommendJust like many other people on here, the cable snapped out of the connector piece on mine. Luckily it was just barely within the 90-day timeframe, so Lowe's refunded it for me, but if it had been two weeks later, I would've been out of luck! I think this 10-lb feeder is just too heavy for the cable connector. Bought two smaller ones to replace it.

Hangs from heavy cable, not a screw on ring!
Would RecommendThis is the best feeder to use if you want to put a lot of birdseed out. I’ve used this style for many years, but the previous models from Stokes and others had a screw on ring at the top that invariably would strip out without a year or two. I now have three of this style, that hangs from a cable, and suspect they will last much longer.

Would Not RecommendI have purchased 2 of these and have had the same issue with both. The fastener that holds the hanging cable failed and the feeder fell to the ground dumping 8#s of seed. I was able to repair but should not have to repair a feeder two weeks after purchase.

Great Bird feeder
Would RecommendThis feeder holds a LOT of seed. It can hold 2 separate kinds of seed, all metal construction, easy to clean with garden hose. The lid does not lock into place so it might be possible for a squirrel to open it, but I have mine hanging on a Squirrel proof pole.
