great tape, bad auto lock

the auto lock isnt good at all. when pressing against something it retracts with almost no effort. if they can copy milwaukees locking mechanism than they will have a true winner for a tape.

Durable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for my husband because he is constantly throwing his tape measure and breaking the locking system. This has held up so well to all the wear and tear of average use and his more strenuous use.

One of the better tape measures on the market

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I work in roofing, siding, gutters, and general construction. Stanley's tapes are some of the best you can get. They hold well and are very durable. I've seen one roll off a 4 story hotel and survive with barely a scratch and no effect to it's performance. Only reason I give it 4 stars is because the auto lock is tricky and can loose its potency over time.

Best Tape Made!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own several tapes but the FatMax is by far the best on the market. The auto lock and rafter hook are both great along with great standout. I definitely recommend FatMax tapes to anyone who uses them on a regular basis.

Worst Ever

Bought recently to replace my old Stanley 30 footer. Catch tang on end is tool small, brag about being able to extend XX feet yet if the wind blows or you let it slip to a lean it breaks over immediately and you will not correct it until its all the way back in.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this tape measure; the tape is strong and doesn’t bend when you have it out. The holder for the additional tip could be better, maybe a magnet added as well at the rubber piece.

Great upgrade from my Leaverlock tape measures

The removable hooks have made it much easier to to measure in places that don't want to hold. Stanley has gone the extra mile making these very durable. Very durable and easy to use.

It’s also very durable and not flimsy at all. It stays right where you hook it and there’s no flopping around like cheaper measures.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tape measure is solid. It seems to be well built and has been holding up well thus far. The hook it comes with is handy, and I like that it can be stored in the tape measure instead of getting trashed in my toolbox. The only complaint is the hook doesn't sit flush when stored, so it will no doubt get knocked out and lost. Other than that, it's a solid tape measure.

The best tape measure ever!

Best 30 foot tape so far

Hefty but nice

Measuring made easier

Beefy tape measure

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this tape on several home improvement projects I am completing around my home. This tape measure is beefy and well constructed. It has tumbled down the staircase several times and has dropped off a upper deck to the ground below and shows no signs of damage. It has an approx 11 foot stand out which is helpful when you are working alone. Definitely a well built, heavy duty tape!! Measurement are clearly marked and easy to read.
