The Stamina ATS 1399 works for me!

The 1399 was a cinch to assemble and it consistently gets my heart rate well into the target ranges for burning fat. It’s quiet enough to watch tv while rowing and I am very happy with my choice.

Love this rower!

It's a great rower! It took me about an hour and a half to assemble, alone. The screen is perfect, the movement comfortable. It is a bit loud, so I purchased headphones to listen to music, and haven't had any regrets! The best feature is the ability to fold it up and put it in the corner!!

It works as advertised.

It does work as advertised. What I'm unhappy, that I want the counter will be able to count my pulls. And counter should have emitted LED, because it's impossible to see numbers.

Good unit for the money

The foot rests need to be moved 8-10" back as there is not enough range for proper rowing technique. Once I did that, it was great. The handle bars are too narrow so I put on some mountainbike flat bars. There is plenty of resistance when used properly.

Excellent, can't get any better.

So far, so good. I have researched and looked for a good rower. I've had a couple of other rowers before but I must say I truly love this rower. I've used it once everyday since I got it. Sturdy, strong and really gives me a great workout. I highly recommend this rower this rower to new comers and experienced exercise enthusiasts. I also love that it folds up to minimize space when I need it. Lastly, the cost was well within affordable and well worth the money.

Not a durable rower

I bought this model 1399 rower last year around Christmas. I am now at the one year mark. I am on my third spring box. The company replaced the first two under warranty. The company says they won’t cover any more spring boxes. It has broken about every 3-1/2 months at this point. Bottom line if you’re looking to row once or twice a week. Then this is a good rower but any more than that and I would say your wasting tour money.

Broke after about a year of normal use

I've used this for about 15 minutes a day, 3 times a week, and after a year, it broke. The handle will no longer retract into the unit. Upon disassembly, I found that the recoil spring snapped inside. The metal simply snapped. I have not found a replacement, online.... I give this 2 stars, primarily because it worked well as a rower, but is now useless since there is no repair part available.

Best for beginners

This is a good rower for a “beginner” it definitely isn’t made for someone used to using a more durable rower. As an older, non-exercising person it works great! I do feel like I’m getting a good workout, however as I gain strength I’m not sure if it will hold up. It was easy to put together and is a decent quality piece of equipment.

Display doesn't work at all -- on second one

I really like the rower -- but the display doesn't work at all. It won't even turn on. I'm on my second one, and it has never worked. I will give it one more shot, and then I will return this if it isn't resolved.

Don't loss focus on your goals.

Biggest bang for your buck. Don't over spend on a rowing machine. This baby will help you achieve your goals. This machine fits me fine at 252 lbs.6'3''. Now a week later 240 lbs.

Well...

I received the box that contained this rowing machine. First I got my machine all put together & then I watched the 2 videos and I got my rowing machine registered for the double warranty. Wow!! Double Warranty. That alone, was a great selling point. My only 2 wishes are that the electronic monitor would be a bit slanted up higher for me to see. The other wish is for a higher rower, it's a bit hard for me to get up. However this will work should help me get my legs moving. One can only ...
