A Good Workout but Fragile

The Stamina 1399 Air Rower gives me a good workout, but based on my experience with a Stamina 1404B Air Rower, which except for colors, appears identical to the 1399 failed after less than 90 hours of use. I didn’t realize this until after I ordered the 1399. If the 1399 doesn’t last a lot longer than the 1404, I won’t be buying any more Stamina products. By the way, I’m an 83 year old male. I would expect a younger person to put a lot more stress on the rower.

Great rower for a beginner…simple & basic. Easy to assemble & compact.

Quality machine

This is a quality rower. Exactly what I was looking for without the large price tag. Folds up out of the way with ease. Comfortable seat. Blows air on you while you ride. Each time I row I feel it in my muscles. Definitely worth the purchase.

I bought the rower in 2017. Average usage is about 12 min per session for 3 days every week.(apple watch stats) I had to replace the spring mechanism out of my pocket just after year of use, it broke AGAIN. I dont recommend buying this rower if you plan on using it to row.

It’s good for petite people

That is not made for tall people. And doesn’t have different levels of tension.

Defective Spring Box

I purchased this rower in 2019. The Spring Box has broken 3 times since I purchased it. My use is moderate (2-3 X week for 20 minutes). Each time, to Stamina's credit, they provided a new Spring Box free of charge, but this process takes approximately a month to get a response and another month(+) to get the part. Batteries in counter/timer

Make sure that you gorilla tape the batteries in the counter/timer. The rower handle slipped from my hands when I completed my workout and the handle hit the stopper. The batteries ejected from the counter/timer and now reside in the bottom of the rower. It still works great, but the batteries rattle a bit when I roll it from the bedroom to my workout area.

Stamina Air Rower

I purchase this machine almost a year ago. First the wheels on the seat within two months started to get pitted. It was like rowing on the worst pothole highway in the world. Not covered by warranty. Then, within a couple of months, the retracting pulley for the strap broke which can not be repaired. So, within a year, I was stuck with a piece of junk.

I am 72 yrs old . I row 4x a week. I love it. It allows me to increase my speed and intensity using my own body weight.

Great customer service. Fast delivery. Easy assembly. It’s loud when I use in my garage. Can’t hear music over rower. The rower is easy to break down for storage and easy to reset when you are ready to use. Don’t like the fact that distance is only displayed in tenths if miles. Most workouts I do require 500 meter intervals and I know that’s .31 miles but the display is in tenths. So how far after .3 is .31? What about subsequent intervals. Exactly what I wanted

54 yo female, 5'3". The Stamina 1300 is exactly right for me. I have been using it in short intervals, practicing my form from videos on YouTube. It is smooth and quiet. The wind noise is there of course, but not much louder than a fan I use in the summer. The monitor keeps track of time, calories and distance. I don't use it for more than the time. Stamina ATS air Rower 1399

Product is strictly based on repetitive motion and increasing duration of exercise and doesn’t provide any resistance options for muscle building/toning. One cannot do a 20 minute session at higher resistance due to lack of time in ones schedule. After a while, one gets bored. My young tweens are using it for building endurance.
