Bought because the guy at Lowes recommended it. Used it for a few spots that didn't come back after the winter. Roughed up the soil, put down seed, racked it in, and watered. Up came crabgrass and weeds. See the pictures. And yes, I have successfully grown grass before.

Would RecommendI have bought this seed a couple of times over the past year to grow grass in a large area where I cleaned out wooded area. After about 2 weeks and watering twice a day, the grass was growing and looks great!. After I cleared the area I just takes the dirt with a metal rake, put down the seed and starter fertilizer, then used a plastic rake and just gently went back and forth where I seeded. Great product!

The Worst Grass Seed I've Ever Used
Would Not RecommendPurchased this product back in April 2018 and worked it into the newly prepared soil with Sta-Green starter fertilizer. Religiously watered it daily and it's been 4 weeks now and very little to no germination. I'm getting a lot more weeds than grass shoots. I'm 65 years old and sown many yards of grass. This Sta-Green grass seed is worthless. I spent $80 on a product I could have used on a better product. Even my lawn care professionals laugh at this big bare spot and ask me when I'm going...
Don't Waste Your Money!!
ZERO STARS! This is by far the worst grass seed I've ever used. I tilled the soil, added some top soil then put down the seed. After watering twice every day for two weeks not one blade of grass popped up. This seed was put down in late April with mild temperatures. If I saved the receipt I would go back for a refund. What junk!
Don't waste your money I bought a20lb bag did everything seed starter top soil over seed 2 week later not one sign of grass
Great Seed
Would RecommendThis grass seed is the best I have used, I live central Ohio. I planted it in the spring, summer and fall. It is a nice dark green grass, it stays green all year. Grass and fills in fast and evenly. I am slowly replacing my lawn with this product.
Grass seed will not grow
Would Not RecommendI would give it zero stars if I could. I planted this seed with starter fertilizer and added it to new loam and barely anything grew the only grass that grew was around a tree. It was watered as directed and I have never had such bad batch of grass seed before. The job lot stuff grows better than this. This is prime growing season in the fall in New England and nothing.

Would Not RecommendRented a tiller and after tilling my lawn raked in seed and flattened ....water water water got sun 2 weeks into it and got 20% of patchy rap..80% of nothing....Now I have a do over ....OH .....I will be seeking a refund.....To bad I cant charge them for my time......spring 5-12-2017

Would Not RecommendDO NOT throw your money away on this grass seed! I planted this seed in well prepared bare spots in my back yard and over-seeded my front lawn two and a half weeks ago. I used grass seed starter fertilizer and kept it watered. Have yet to see ONE blade of grass. The temperatures have been in the low 60's and 70's. I will be seeking a refund on this junk...I would like to add that I have been successfully gardening for over 30 years. JUNK-JUNK-JUNK!
Worked well
Would RecommendI used this last fall and worked well. I thought this was a good combo of seed types for the price. I dethatched and overseeded. I'll add that I hadn't done this for years. I also thought the coating was a gimmick to sell less seed for same weight. Well, I guess I'm sold- I guess the coating does help keep the seed wet to germinate better. I used 2 bags and I think the seed did very well.
Way above expectations
Would RecommendI live in ny and currently the weather hasn't given us much rain. I put the seed out on thursday Aug 25th and its Sept 1rst and I will more than likely need to mow it in a week or so. The soil here is clay and rock with lots of shade and moss. I raked the area to be seeded, applied the seed and used a lawn roller to push it in. Within 4 days I had what my son called baby grass.
