Would RecommendThis seed germinates well given it it is sewn in the spring or fall, covered with good quality fertilized soil, and watered lightly daily. Very good cost $ per lb compared to other seed manufactures. Recommended.

Not one blade of grass
Would Not RecommendBOught this product, followed directions on the package after preparing and amending the lawn soil. Watered as directed and to this day not one single, solitary blade of grass has emerged. Complete waste of money! Perhaps I got a dud bag?
Growing Faster than Petittis
Would RecommendI put Sta-Green sun & shade and Petitti's sun & shade into 2 jars of fairly optimal growing conditions. The Sta-Green is indeed starting faster than the other! The green coating on these seeds tended to get all over my spreader. Picture is after 6 or 7 days. I would buy this again I think, I mixed it in with my other bag of seed, and for that purpose it worked well. I'm also just REALLY surprised how quickly it started sprouting!

Would RecommendThis grass seed is amazing. It requires little effort and help, just some basic watering. It came up within a week or so, even in areas that were dry. I'd highly recommend this product!
Not good
Would Not RecommendI started with one 7lb bag on 550sqf and had dismal results. That's about three times as much as is needed for that sq ft. Bearly any sprouted. I added a second bag 12 days ago and same results. The deep shade mix I planted along my fence took off. The soil is all new and I used the correct amount of starter fertilizer. It has rained almost every day sinse planted and my sprinkler system goes off 4 times a day for a total of 3/8ths of an inch of water daily. The seed is probably old.
Not as good as Scott’s
Would Not RecommendSeeded half the yard with Scott’s and the other with this brand. Sta-green’s grass sprouted later and not as lush and thick.

I only give one star because I can't give zero stars 6 bags of this stuff - $120.00 plus worth. Tilled, added topsoil, fertilized, sowed, raked it in, watered, prohibited all foot traffic and 16 days later not a single seed germinated. Not A Single One Choose something else - don't throw away your money
