What Customers Are Saying
Customers are divided on this screw extractor, with most praising its dual-function design for removing stripped screws quickly and cleanly on medium to large fasteners in softer materials. However, many report significant failures when tackling rusted, hardened, or stainless steel screws, with bits snapping or failing to grip properly. Success heavily depends on technique—users who followed instructions and used penetrating oil reported better results, while those applying excessive force or using impact drivers often experienced failure. Some question material quality, citing cheap carbon steel and durability concerns. Overall, most find it effective for suitable applications, though many remain frustrated by its unreliability on tougher fasteners.

Would RecommendI had a couple of stubborn screws that were stripped so badly nothing would grab them. This SpeedOut set made the job easy. The bits feel solid and didn’t slip or chew up the metal. It took only a few seconds to drill the damaged side and extract the screw cleanly. I’m really impressed with how simple it was to use—no extra tools or complicated steps. Definitely worth having in the toolbox for those nightmare screws that won’t budge.
It Works Sometimes
Would Not RecommendI'm in construction and the screws we typically use are not the ones people use typically in their homes. Meaning, they are stronger. I tried this set on construction screws with mixed results. You can see the screw on the pictures. Those screws in particular go through a rigorous process of strengthening. I say all this because I honestly couldn't get it to work. I spent a bit of time, the screw and bit got hot (Yes, in reverse). It made a hole but after flipping while keeping the drill always ...

Great tools
Would RecommendEasy and wonderful way to take out any screw that has been drilled flush or won’t come out with your regular screw driver or drill. Something you never know when you need but glad to have.

Screw
Would RecommendThis double ended two inch screw extractor set is great for removing any stripped screw, in 10 seconds or less, these are durable and well made perfect for any job.
Quick and easy must have stripped screw remover
Would RecommendNeeded to remove a stripped screw on my golfcart. Worked like a charm. Its part of our regular toolset and i have helped 2 neighbors with some stripped screws already.
Great design it just doesn't work
Would Not RecommendRemove stripped screws in 10 seconds, simply drill/burnish the stripped screw with the burnishing end, flip over and extract the damaged screw with the remover end, all done with your drill in reverse. Simple, only it doesent work. First the drill end of the tool does a lousy job at drilling/burnishing it just doesn't cut into the screw. Once you have got it burnished the extractor end is just as lousy, it also doesn't grab it just spins and makes a really pretty shiny hole. This could be operat...
Easy to use and effective!
Would RecommendThese stripped screw removers are great. the variety of sizes helps when I'm working on these old wood projects. I've never used extractors before and these made it easy.
Speed Out Pro Screw Extractor
Would Not RecommendThis is for the Speed Out Pro Screw Extractor. I screwed 4 screws into a block of wood to demonstrated this product. I stripped out the heads and tried to use the extractor. I used the end of the bit to clean the screw head and turned the bit over like the instructions tell you to do. The screw on the right side of the pictures is the one I tried to extract. The cleaning side of the bit was just drilling a hole through the screw. When I turned the bit around to the other side of the bit to extra...

Would RecommendGood set does exactly what it is intended for, these are good quality and could get you out of a jam, what is really convenient is the double ended design

Nice set if extractors in a kit
Would RecommendThese were good quality, as a set of four for most of the stripped screws you find. Worked well with a drill, but DONT recommend using an impact drill. These also worked well just using a hand drill and a wrench to extract. Also liked that they were in a nice little case (recommend to the company to add wording so you are less likely to loose them) and that there was a separate set of instructions that stayed in the case after throwing away the plastic wrap it was sold in.
Extractor stripped
Used these first on drywall screws, bit stripped out a bit, and would not drill deep. Would recomend these fo maybe aless harder, less stripped out type of screw or small bolt.
Easy to use damaged screw extractor bits
Would RecommendSpeedout Pro Damaged Screw Extractor bits are well made and easy to use. There wasn't any complicated instructions. Just drill out the screw in reverse, flip the bit over and extract.
Speedout!!! Yes!!
Would RecommendAnother "Speedout" drill bits that definitely help with getting screws, bolts and nails out of your woodwork and allows one to use the wood once again. Great addition to your drill bit collection.
Great Little Kit to Have Around
Would RecommendTried this SpeedOut screw extractor set after fighting with a few stripped screws on a shelf project, and it worked great! Super easy to use — just drill one side to make a clean groove, flip it over, and the screw backs right out. I used it with my regular cordless drill and had no issues. It’s not something I use every day, but when you need it, you’ll be really glad you have it. The little case keeps everything organized, and the bits feel sturdy enough for home projects. Definitely a handy ...
Frustrating process with some positive results
The extractors come in a nice black sturdy case. They are labeled #1 thru #4 from smallest to largest in the set. The #1 corresponds to screws Number 4 thru Number 7 extraction candidates. The #2 is for Number 8 thru Number 10. The #3 is for Number 11 thru Number 14. Number 15 screws are not mentioned in the table or maybe don’t exist. The largest #4 is for screws Number 16 thru Number 24. This information is all well and good but it assumes you actually know the Number of the screw you a...
Solid extractors - self-labeling required
Would RecommendThese types of extractors are usually pretty solid. I love when they fit into a 1/4" impact driver - the hammering function usually helps get the stuck screw or bolt free. This one drilled well and gripped immediately. The -1 star is due to no indication of what is inside the storage box pertaining to size. Who wants to open multiple boxes to see if what they are looking for is in there while they are feverishly rifling through tools? This is too obvious.
A must have tool
Would RecommendThis is a very useful tool to have if you're like me and have stripped screws on the regular. It's incredibly easy to use. Put it in your drill, clean out the screw head, and then flip the bit and extract the screw. Once, I had somehow had the head of the screw pop off while cleaning out the stripped screw. Wasn't a big deal, but it is something that can happen. If it ever happens to you, grab your vice grips and unscrew it. I'd highly recommend that everyone has a set of these laying around, be...

screw remover
Would RecommendIt really works. Saves a lot of time where in the past it took a long time to remove a bad screw. This remover makes it a simple task. I recommend this to all
