Spectracide Stump Remover to the rescue

Unable to fit a stump grinding into my back yard, I remembered this product I had used 15 years ago on 3 cotton wood stumps. It work excellently then, and I am back again to allow Spectracide to clear the way for my new patio. DN

Be patient.

You need to be patient with this stuff, it doesn’t work overnight. I drilled holes in the trunk, put in the contents, and added hot water. A couple of months later I was able to take an ax to it and got it down to ground level.

I added this to my tree stump. I can already see progress after one week. Its a slow progress, it will take time. I just use hot water from my coffee maker to help dissolve the granules faster.

Spectracide Stump remover

One must look up instructions on the internet to use this stuff. A powerful drill (not a cordless) is necessary to drill the holes in the stump. I have no idea if it will work because it takes 3 months to take effect.

Good stuff

It works well, but does take some time to completely rot out the stump (2-3 months). I just drilled numerous 3/4 inch holes in the stump and kept powder full.

I will die before the tree stump does

I have been using this product for over a year on a tree stump with a diameter of 8 inches. Drill holes 6-10 inches deep and only the bark has peeled off one side in that time. Recommend the epsom salt trick over this.

Great product

Stumps take forever to decay but this product speeds the process.

Best Stump Remover

I needed to relace my backyard fence, but a tree has grown on the fence line. I had the tree cut down, but removing the stump was more difficult, since stump remover equipment could not be used because of the location. I purchased Spectracide Stump Remover and the instruction were very simple, and after the 8 week period specified, the stump decayed enough that its removal was easy. I would recommend this product to anyone needing to remove a tree stump.

From the other reviews I read, this product takes time to see results. I am 2 weeks into the wait and will follow up in the near future.

I put this on a stump last year and now it’s gone. It works. Just got to drill the holes deep and keep them wet

Get rid of unwanted stumps

I took out several holly bushes from the front of my house and they started growing back. By following the directions, the stumps are now history. I would recommend this product for anyone.
