What Customers Are Saying
The product appears to have mixed reviews. Some customers found it affordable, compact, and effective for running wires through tight spaces for home projects, especially for shorter runs. However, many reported issues with the tape jamming or breaking after limited use, making it difficult to wind and unwind. The product may work for basic, short-term home projects, but its quality and durability seem inconsistent, and it may not be suitable for more demanding or frequent use.

Would RecommendThis certainly makes running wire through an attic an easier chore to accomplish. I like the flat tip on this tape. It doesn't get hung up when trying to make it round a corner.
Fish tape for A/C unit
Would RecommendWe bought this fish tape to help clear the drain in our A/C unit. Worked great, no more clog.
Two-minute Job
I had a simple wire drop task. I spent two wires taping coat hangers together trying to fish down an insulated wall. Then discovered this tool. It worked great and only took two minutes to feed down to the new box cut out. I taped the new wire to this tape and reversed the pull...worked great.
Last minute purchase
Would RecommendGot the job done for service to my daughters cameras.

Gone Phising
Would RecommendThe right equipment at the right time and place. Works gteat, re tracts with ease.
It got the job done
Would RecommendI used this to run an outdoor extension cord through a 2-inch conduit. I had to play with it a little to get it past one or two snags, but I got it through. This was the flat type with a plastic point on the end; perhaps the other type (available by the same brand) that loops into a hook on the end would have slipped past the snags easier (?).
stay away
Would Not RecommendOnly pulled one foot out and it’s all binded up. Wont move in or out.

Great Product for the price!
Would RecommendTook a chance on this after reading some of the negative reviews. It worked perfectly for me. The instructions for unwinding / rewinding could be a little clearer, but I had no issues when I used the black handle to assist feeding the tape and rewinding it. Successfully snaked a line from the basement to my first floor laundry in an insulated wall.
Junk
Would Not RecommendThis fish tape is near impossible to pull out and rewind. Does nothing but get jammed up on reel.
It is possible to remove the screws to access the interior of the tape to un-jam but we have a Hassle Free Limited Lifetime Warranty on our Fishtape....
Broke first use
Would Not RecommendTried pulling a coax cable and it broke first time.

works great for automotive use.
Would Recommendpurchased this for use on automotive and marine wiring. works great in small spaces. The way that the tip is enclosed is very handy and without a open hook to catch on other wires it slides through with ease.
Metal Snake
Would RecommendGood all around snake to fish wires and cables through the wall or ceiling. Nice holder to keep the snake storage small and easy to use.
Quick cable feed
Would RecommendThe tape save me hours in trying to feed my cable through a tight space; love it!
Works well
Would RecommendJust like others have said, this product (1/4 inch tape) works really well. The 1/8 tape doesn’t work at all. My local store had both so I tried them side-by-side. The 1/8 doesn’t even pull out, it’s simple useless. I bought the 1/4 inch and used it the same day and had zero issues.
Do Not Even Think About Purchasing
Would Not RecommendI wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing this lemon of a fish tape. Like the other complaints, the line comes out maybe 12" before jamming in the housing so good luck trying to pull a line through any distance longer than that. Trying to get the line to recoil back into the housing is even worse and requires the strength of at least 10 men. If you find yourself tempted and brave enough to remove the housing to make this useless tool barely usable, beware that the line will explode ...
works like a charm
Would RecommendI love it works like a charm!!! Came in handy with my cat5 project.
Finally!
Would RecommendI struggled with running my HDMI cord through the conduit over the fireplace because of a couple of sharp angles and ridges on the tubing. I didn't really have any confidence that this would work, but it did! I ran the fish tape through the top of the conduit and it immediately came up on the other side (yes, whoever installed the conduit had the tubing coming up). After the fish tape was up, I taped the HDMI cord to the fish tape with duct tape and pulled it in from the top. When it got closer ...
Mine didn't work
Would Not RecommendMine did the same thing as some others. Two feet would come out and then it jammed and I couldn't get anymore out. Was on site and needed to get the job done so I had to disassemble (opening up like snakes in a can almost losing an eye) and is impossible to rewind into casing.
