What Customers Are Saying

The 6x6 post base is a functional product that is easy to install and effective at keeping posts off the ground. Many customers found it adjustable and useful for preventing post rot. However, some felt the thin metal construction was of questionable quality and the product was overpriced. A few also reported issues with the fit for 6x6 pressure-treated posts being too tight.

Base fastener design needs work

Would Not Recommend

These bases are great in concept but execution was not to standard. After installing the base with a 5/8" x 7" concrete anchor bolt I put tapcon screws in the two smaller holes for stability. The concrete I am working on has slight imperfections which cause the base to wobble back and forth. I have to remove all of the posts again to drill more anchor points for tapcon screws. I would also like to see a wider opening to reach the fastening nut to secure it more if needed.
